Hey all,

I was just curious as to what the differences were between the wedding photo packages and the honeymoon photo packages. More speciifically if you get the honeymoon mk photo shoot can the bride still wear her dress for the pics?

If I remeber correctly, my EM told me that I couldn't wear my wedding gown into any of the parks unless we do a MK photoshoot, which happens before the park opens like at 5 or 6 am. I think that the honeymoon photo package is where they take pictures of you in your normal clothes around a park of your choice. Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

No...the difeernce is as follows (anyone correct me if I am wrong)

1. the honeymoon shoot is a casual shoot in one of the parks...the bride can not wear her dress. There are people in the parks although I think the photogs do the best to avoid them.

2. the Mk photo shoot is done early in the morning (5 or so any day after or day of wedding) This is when you get those private shots in front of the castle and carousel with just you and hubby. I believe the cost is 800 but it will probably go up in jan knowing disney!

The honeymoon photo pacakge is open to everyone, and takes place in the morning during operating hours in the park of your choosing. Its recommended that you wear casual clothing for the honeymoon shoot, bridal attire is not allowed.

The MK Portrait Session is available only to DFTW brides and takes place at 6 AM (or 5AM if they are scheduling 2 that day). For this session you can wear your bridal attire.

Just wanted to add something that might be helpful-

We had our engagement shoot in the MK on Friday (it's the same as the Honeymoon one) and it is casual clothing - no bridal attire or headpieces are permitted. That keeps brides from keeping their wedding hair and tiara and changing into a fancy white shirt or dress and getting "bridal" portraits from inside the MK.

It was really fun - we went to a bunch of different locations, even inside Pirates! The one thing my photographer did tell us is that there is a huge difference in the crowds between 9 am and 10 am. We had the 9 am and still had some people in our shots, especially toward the end of the hour. Based on what we saw and his advice, I'd suggest booking the earliest time you can if you're going to have pictures when the park is open.

Hope this is helpful!
