Honeymoon Island

Has anyone gone there? Is it a decent 'day trip'?

We LOVED Honeymoon Island! It is a pretty decent drive (thinking it was 1hr 45 min if memory serves) but well worth it. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and not touristy and crowded like we found Cocoa Beach was. The white sand is gorgeous and my kids loved looking for shells. Definitely a great choice for a day trip! Wish we could have spent more time there and plan to go back again sometime.

We live about 20 minutes from here. It's a state park with beaches. You can also hop a boat and head over to Caladesi Island. We actually like Caladesi better.

There is a fee to get into the state park and I think there might even be one for the boat trip over to Caladesi. Have fun. If you are ever in town for a longer period of time, try Marco Island and Cape San Blas. 2 of my families favorite beaches.
