We will be traveling to Orlando July 5-9 then on to the Marriott CasaMagna in Cancun. We plan to start at the Hilton Garden Inn Seaworld, but prefer to spend 2 nights at a FANCY hotel near Universal&Seaworld...Any suggestions? Where to find discounts, etc?
Thanks :)

I can see that you have posted several questions and have received some good advice. (see motherfletcher's response to your fan club card post).

I will just add that you CAN easily stay at a Universal resort for under 250/night. Royal Pacific would be your best bet...a very romatic feel....lush, tropical...

With one of the discounts, you should be able to get a room there for less than 250! Of course, discounts for 2005 are limited to AAA for now and you can get a room for 210.60. The other discounts will come out by November, I would think. Good luck, and if you have more questions, just ask!

The Ritz-Carlton is very close to SeaWorld and is fabulous. Rooms start at 239. You will not be disappointed. If you call reservations ask if they have any american express offers for cardholders, many times they do and it is not advertised on their website. Let them know you are celebrating a honeymoon and will probably be upgraded.

We got the royal pacific hotel for about 120-150 or less a night last year, using the entertainment card discount, even if you need to buy a book, its worth the 25.00 Call and see what the prices are with the EB discount for your dates. Its a very nice hotel, nice ammenities, walk to US.

Congratulations!

I also recommend the Royal Pacific, or for a little more, the Portifino (very romantic).

Portofino Bay Hotel is a very beautiful and romantic place! There's marble everywhere and the bathrooms are huge. It never seems crowded even when the hotel is booked full. Some of the rooms have seperate soaking tubs. There are 3 pools. The beach pool with slide, where most of the families hang out. There's is the villa pool, defenitely more adult and a quiet pool located near the east wing. There are several restaurants and cafes attached to the hotel. It's a bit more expensive than RPH or Hard Rock but defenitely upscale without being stuffy.

Can you tell I love the PBH!:p
