Honeymoon Hotel options??

Hello!!
I am in the middle of choosing a hotel for our Disneymoon...we will have 3 nights / 2 full days in the resort before heading off on the rest of our honeymoon. Dates are 14th -17th November .. .I can not wait!!!
I was looking at booking either BWI (club level) or POR ( Royal Guest Room).
We will be using the free shuttle bus from Orlando airport to the hotel and will be arriving to resort at around 11:30pm I think....Which hotel would be the most suitable for honeymoon? AND have food available at about 12pm?! Do Disney hotels offer 24 hr room service??

We stayed at POR in a Royal Room. It is not worth the extra money for it. If it were me and I had the money, I would go to BW with Concierge. There would be no comparison to POR.

Oh really? What makes you think the Royal Rooms aren't worth the price? the price of this hotel suites us better than BW!!!

If price is the issue then by all means is it nice...just not BWV Concierge nice. POR is very nice, it is just a moderate resort. Given the choice between a moderate and Concierge at a Deluxe, the decision is a no brainer. When the cost of it comes into play, then I am right there with you staying at POR (I would prefer CSR of POR though).

When it comes down to it, the Moderate resorts are basically glorified motels (outside corridors, no room service), and a Royal Room is just a glorified room in a glorified motel. The "upgrades" are purely decorative, not functional. Of course plenty of couples have had wonderful honeymoons at Moderate resorts and even Value resorts. It really depends on whether you care about the luxuries and amenities associated with a Deluxe resort or not. If you see the room as just a place to sleep, you might not feel a Deluxe resort is worth the cost. For me, the resort experience is an integral part of my vacation, and the one time I got a free upgrade to Club Level at BWI was extraordinarily memorable.

That said, BoardWalk Inn room service stops at midnight. If this is important to you, check out the Yacht & Beach Club resort, which does have 24-hour room service.

I wouldn't suggest a royal room for a honeymoon as they have two queen beds. A king room at a moderate would be about the same price. I'd probably pick POFQ or CSR for a honeymoon

I agree with lurkyloo that if your budget can swing it, treating yourself to a deluxe is 10000% worth it (and club level to boot!). If not though I recommend POFQ - we stayed there for our "anniversary trip" (quotes because we had to take the trip a few months before our anniversary!). It's the smallest of the moderates and therefore the most intimate - the other three are fairly sprawling, though Riverside is a little less so. I especially enjoyed the boat transport to Disney Springs, because trying to get there by car/bus is always a nightmare.

That being said though, I think you would have the best experience at Boardwalk, again since you mentioned it's in the budget. You can't beat being walking distance to Epcot and (though it's a longer walk) Studios!!
