Honeymoon at POFQ or Caribean Beach?

Hello! I'm new here and new to DisneyWorld. We have Caribean Beach reserved for our honeymoon but I had my heart set on POFQ. They told me to call daily and see if a room opened up. SHould I change? What are the pros and cons for each? BTW we are staying at a moderate because we don't think we will spend allot of time using the Hotels Spa or things like that since it is our first trip and we will be mostly in the parks. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

hmm. I actually like the Caribbean Beach Resort better than the POFQ.. but thats my personal opinion. They have a beautiful lake in the middle thats really nice at nighttime.. plus they have a huge food court there, which has a really great selection. I'm partial to the Caribbean "beachy" decor though..
I don't think you'll be dissapointed at all!

We stayed at the POFQ, I think there may be photos in my TR. It is the smallest moderate and doesn't have a table service restaurant but riverside is only a walk away. I liked it. My MOH stayed at the Caribbean and they liked that one.

DF and i love the Carribean beach. I haven't stayed at the other one as the theme doesn't appeal to me. Carribean beach has spacey rooms, great mousekeeping and the scenery is great. We also liked the food court for quick snacks or for an evening meal if we hadn#t eaten elsewhere. Were are staying there this year for our wedding and disneymoon.

I would go with CB! I think it is great & actually I have quite a few guests staying there for my wedding

The theming is really different between the two.

POFQ is a smaller resort layout that is much quieter and more intimate IMO. The gardens at POFQ are gorgeous, and I loved strolling around there enjoying them. I also happen to love the interior decor at POFQ, and the beds are I think the best beds I've ever slept on in Disney property LOL. (Again, YMMV, I like my beds a certain level of firmness)

Of course, it's been a long time since I've stayed at CBR, and I don't know if they renovated their room interiors since then. CBR is ginormous though! It's the biggest of the moderates, and it's a very different vibe. I felt like there were a lot more children there, but it could be just an illusion 'cause of how huge the resort is.

Besides, I'm partial to Coronado Springs (CSR). Not to confuse you more, but I think CSR has the most gorgeous lake and walkways around the lake. It's a little smaller than CBR but it still has aspects of a tropical beachy theme. (More spanish/mexican though, versus caribbean).

I've got most of my wedding guests booked at CSR + POFQ 'cause they're my two favorite resorts other than the DVC resorts. The moderates just have an amazing level of detail and beauty when it comes to their landscaping. I've never felt the deluxes' landscaping can match up.

I like quiet, small places. POFQ was perfect, from the romantic boat ride to and from DTD to the quiet walks to and from POR. It was incredibly romantic-I loved it!!!

My wife and I stayed at POFQ for the first time the night before our wedding day (separate rooms) and I/we were so impressed with the hotel that we are planning on staying there next April for our one year anniversary. We love the New Orleans theme and all the CM's were terrific. We had our Prep photo shoot there as well and the surroundings made for some great shots. Here is a few...

I think both are good. I think they just redid some of the rooms at the Caribean though. I am more partial to POFQ but the Carribean makes you feel like you are on an island somewhere and I think for a honeymoon it is more appropriate.
