Honeymoon/Adventures by Disney

Has anyone here at Dis done an adventures by disney trip? Do you think it would be good for a honeymoon if we went one of the adults only weeks? They have some really interesting trip options, like china, south africa and australia. Just wondered if anyone had tried their trips and what you thought of them.

They look awesome and they have excellent reviews! BUT they are pretty pricey and very scheduled. We were considering doing one and then maybe extending it for a few days to just chill out a bit, but the pricetag is scaring us off.

Have you read teh Adventures by Dis section on the Dis?

sorry all, I JUST realized there is a whole area for adventures by disney lol. I guess I never scrolled far enough down the page to see it! I always stop at the wedding threads!

We have been on two and loved them both. We didn't do the adults only trip but we still had a great time. We had a 3rd booked for this year but it got cancelled because too few people signed up.

I am not a big fan of organized tours so I never really thought much of it - until we decided we wanted to go to China and Hong Kong Disney - not many tours hit Beijing and Hong Kong. So I thought it would be the way to go - we got tons of info then I started doing lots of research. I found that Disney was really really expensive.

We ended up spending almost four weeks travelling to Beijing, Hong Kong and Bali on our own, we stayed in all 5 star hotels and ended up paying far less.

If you aren't super adventurous to travel over there on your own then the tour might be worth the extra money. My only complaint is that the tour only gives you one day at HKDL. We were there for two weeks and I really didn't think that was long enough. I guess I just really don't like all of the structure.

If it were my honeymoon and I was thinking of going to china I would def skip Beijing - its by far the worst city we have ever been too! I would go and spend as long as you can at HKDL at the Disneyland Hotel. Don't stay at the Hollywood.

I don't know much about the tour to Africa - that could be a good deal. I would just take any tour you are interested in and trip advisor the destination. See how much you can find out and exactly what you want to do.

I would personally prefer more alone time on my honeymoon, and I'd much prefer to go completely at my own pace.
