(I can't wait to find out what your developments are! We have one underway as well...it totally makes sense though, not impulsive AT ALL. Not At All.
)
The fountain shot is great! Pure glee!
Did you notice the Nemo swim goggles around his neck?! They could've come in handy sticking his head in there! (He insisted on bringing them with on Kali and Splash - if that's what it takes to get him on those rides, I'll happily oblige!)
I noticed you're heading back in August.... when will you be there? We'll be there Aug 19-26.
I didn't notice the goggles until you pointed them out. Hilarious! I wish we could all get away with acting as silly as kids.
I'll be at WDW from August 7-11 -- just booked it last night. It was a rather impulsive decision! I'm worried it's going to be really rainy. Perhaps I should invest in some Nemo goggles for myself.
Post a link when you're ready to unveil it!
After the last ride, Junior went over to the water fountain and did this...

He had such a blast sticking his head in there! He was soaked to the bone and then some I think! Now that looks like it was cool and refreshing! To be a kid again!
Looking forward to the remainder of the trip!
He was on to something (but had to laugh that I don't think he actually even put them on... they just hung around his neck. But there must have been security in just having them available)Loved the update and I can absolutely understand the reasoning ebhind bringing goggles on the water rides! I love water and swimming, but I hate to get water into my eyes without being able to control it!!
Isn't just awesome walking through a quiet park?! And the juice... I could go for some right now!Early Tusker House ADRs are wonderful! We did this for the first time last trip and I really loved it! And you are right, the juice is fantastic - as is the food!
Heading over to your PTR now!
This breakfast was so yummy. I don't remember exactly what we ate how many months past the trip, but I do remember drinking glass after glass of their yummy juice! Couldn't get enough of that stuff!

This is one of my favoritest pictures of the trip. Pure joy!
There was a quick spin around with the dinos...

The impulsiveness will come into play after a few installments!
What helped in getting the giraffe pictures was that we had to stop because one was on the road in front of us and the others were so close. I think on most of those pictures the zoom wasn't used - they were that close! And I loved all your giraffe pictures-beautiful. I've never been able to get good pictures on the safari yet.

I was playing with the giraffe pictures the other day and put one into sepia and it looked so cool! I'm thinking it will have to be printed and framed.
My DH told me that I needed some sort of support group. I told him, "I do - the DIS!" He politely informed me you're all not a support group, you're enablers. What's that suppose to mean?
Okay, so I know that a lot of you that have joined in on this PTR are parents, so I have a story that maybe you'll appreciate.
Today Junior was at our friend's house for day care. Our friend had a meeting and so her daughter was going to watch him. (She was on the trip with me last week - awesome girl!) Her first time watching him solo. DH came home from work early and we were running some errands before we went to pick him up. While at Target my phone rings. It's the mom. Her DD called her to say that Junior was playing with a water blaster and put his pointer finger into the hole where the water goes in. And it's stuck.
Like really stuck.
They tried greasing it up with vegetable oil.
Nope.
Ice to bring down the swelling.
Nope.
She had broke the water gun away from the water reservoir, so all that was left was that reservoir on his pointer finger.
So we fly through the check-out (grabbing a ring pop candy thing for Junior to hopefully distract him) and head to their house about 10 minutes away.
We get there and he's chowing down on Freezies while tears run down his face. I sit him on my lap, give him the Ring Pop and DH tries to pull.
Nope.
He tries to twist it off.
Nope.
Yup, it's stuck.
Junior cries and says, "Just leave it. I'll grow up with it on my finger."
DH, joking to try to diffuse the situation, says "But how will you pick your nose?"
Junior thinks (this is a habit we're trying to break - maybe leaving it on his finger is an okay thing.... Hmmmmm....)
Junior, not wanting to give this bad habit up, realizes he has another option and holds up the pointer finger on his other hand. "I'll just use this finger."
SIGH.
Anybody got another water blaster we can stick on that finger???
Well, we weren't having any luck there so we decided to bring him home. DH found a pair of side cutters and carefully cut the reservoir off his finger so all that was left was the threaded ring. And oh so carefully that was trimmed off.
TA-DA!! ER visit avoided!
Daddy is the HERO!!!![]()
His finger was so swollen, but after icing it for a bit, it returned closer to normal and he was off playing with the neighbor kids.
Life is good again.
