 Sorry for the long title but wanted to make sure I ask about the correct HS as they are two near by.

I believe this is the newer of the two local Homewood Suites and I am looking for any insights or feedback. We are booked from 11/27-12/4. We have a 2 queen beds, one bedroom suite booked.

I am seeing free breakfast and beverage area. Does that mean cocktail hour like at the Embassy Suites? How is the pool area? I see grills too; anyone use those?

I appreciate any feedback. :thanks:

Stayed there for a week in mid May. Lovely place. I would absolutely stay there again and would recommend to anyone needing a hotel near Disneyland. We also stayed in a 2-queen one bedroom suite. Very spacious. Didn't use the kitchen really, other than the fridge and a bowl for some m&ms, but it was well equipped and you could easily cook small meals in there. Breakfast was reasonable...some kind of egg or omelette thing every day, make your own waffle stations, yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, etc. Mon - Thurs they have a free dinner type deal. There's usually a theme for the evening (Asian, Italian, etc.). I didn't partake of that, as I have food allergies and some of it was not safe for me, but the rest of my travel group enjoyed it and liked not having to go out to eat or spend a lot of money on dinner every night. I think there were also some drinks on offer those evenings. Pool area is very nice and roomy. Only downside is that I found the water chilly and the weather was colder than I'm accustomed to for that time of year (I'm from Florida, live in Georgia, so I'm used to hot/humid Mays). Several grills and I saw people cooking out, but I didn't actually use them. The hotel really is great and it was a great value as well. We used the buses from the Toy Story lot next door each day with no problem. Our Magic Morning, the buses were not running early enough, so that day we just walked down to the park. It's only about a mile, so manageable for us. If it all possible, try and get a room that looks up Harbor toward DL. You'll be able to see the fireworks from your room (if not in the park). We were not able to get one on that side unfortunately (they changed our room assignment before we arrived), but the others in our group did and enjoyed seeing the fireworks from the room.

I have a thread where I asked and got very helpful info. Its here

Thank you for the well thought out reply and information! This seems like it will be a good fit for us. Weather can be hit and miss in December but if there is a hot tub we'll be okay. I also like warmer weather. A mile walk isn't bad and we might Uber.
