Hi everyone....

I haven't posted in a long time... but trust me... I've been looking at photos and getting very homesick. We are coming back to FW in September.... and are already getting excited. Our son joined the Army a few months back and if he's still in the states come Sept... he will be coming with us. That gives me even more reason to get excited. :goodvibes

Can someone tell me if loop 2000 will hold 3 large tents? We've only stayed in 1500 when we've tent camped... and I know 1500 will be too small.

Thanks for your help!!

What you can do is when you make your reservation give the Cast Member the size of your tents (8x12, etc). When it comes time to assign you a site the Fort Planner will do the best they can to get you a site that fits. Size varies in 2000 so give them a chance to fit you by giving them the info they would need.

Good luck.

PS - according to the rules:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/rates-rooms/

a site is SUPPOSED to only have a maximum of two tents. The Fort is famous for its selective application of the rules. Your three tents may take up less space two bigger tents. Whatever. Just be forewarned.

Maybe I can get by with 2 tents.... the rules don't state this....but I wonder if I can still bring the screen tent.

I'm sure it will work out.... it's still a long way out and unfortunately, I've heard there is a good chance our son will be deployed.

Thanks for the info.

For folks reading this thread,

the link says (in the "Description" section of the table) that sites can accomodate up to 2 "living units" <the second unit always being a tent>.

The Partial description says "2 tents" or "a pop-up</Class B> van" and a tent.

The Full description says "2 tents" or "an RV</trailer>" and a tent.

The Preferred description says "2 tents" or "an RV</trailer>" and a tent.

The Premium description says "2 tents" or "an RV</trailer>" and a tent.

Again, 10 people are the limit on any one site (you have to give names/ages when you make the ressie).

Premium sites don't have the sand pads so tents are expected to be set up on the concrete. People have gone off-pad on a Premium but according to the "rules" this is officially not permitted but it does happen.

Disney does selectively enforce campsite rules as it suits them particularly around the number of cars at a site, the number of tents at a site, tents off the pad, the quiet hours in the campground, kids driving golf carts, etc. All of these, should the mood strike them, give Disney the right to hassle you to send you out the gate.

Screen rooms, E-Z Up canopies, etc. do not count against the tent/unit quota.

PS - Runningbell, I hope you get to the Fort soon with everyone you can muster. And welcome back to posting. :thumbsup2
