Homeowners Insurance Cancelled

It seems that many insurance carriers are worried about Cape Cod being hit by a hurricane and because of the escalating property values many are dropping their insurance coverage for Cape Cod properties. We have just been notified in a letter today that our policy has been cancelled. Our insurance agent assures us that we will have continued coverage but at a "considerably higher premium."

It's happening everywhere jj! It's so bad here in Fl. the state
got involved and started an insurance co. to provide coverage for those who couldn't find it.

You will be in the same boat as me. My homeowners insurance went up 60.00 a MONTH!!! That really ticked me off!

I've heard of people getting cancelled because of trampolines and the kind of dogs they have (pit bulls, rotweilers)
Geesh gotta have insurance but good luck finding it
I know three different people who have lost car insurance due to having accidents

Ya know.... I just posted on another thread about liking where I live.... maybe now I like it even more!! No earthquakes, VERY infrequent hurricane threats, almost no tornadoes.... starting to sound better all the time!!.................P

We are putting on an addition and in order to support it they brought in 6 steel beams and put them in place with a huge crane. believe me, this house isnt going anywhere...LOL
