Homemade AUTOGRAPH books! Heres mine, lets see Yours :)

We have started our books, but how do you know who you will see? (Yes i'm a newbie :) ) We've been to some sites telling us who we will probably see, but all of the sites make it sound as if it were hit or miss. :confused3

Any suggestions would be helpful!!!

If you are booking some Character meals like Crystal palce..it's a 99.9% bet you'll see Pooh,Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore sometime Rabbit (VERY VERY RARE)..If your booking chef Mickey's its a good bet you'll see Mickey,Minnie,Donald and Goofy sometimes Chip and Dale(?).....certain character Meals give you that 99.9% assurance. Also each of the 4 parks has the FAB 5 characters, Princess's are usually all day at MK usually Cinderella,Belle,Snow White or Aurora(It varies) in Toon Town, Ariel has her spot as well. Peter Pan and Wendy usually meet in Adventure land and so does hook and Mr.Smee..Check the Daily Times guide. When you eneter the park theres usually some character upfron..normaly Pluto,Chip n Dale, Pinocchio, Geppetto and once in awhile Goofy and if your really lucky they'll have a RARE character.WS in Epcot has lots of character usually from about 12-5:30ish..... Pooh and friends Alice and Mary poppins in the UK.....They also have the character spot with the fab 5 and sometime Chip and Dale....and lately some suprise characters. If your looking for a speceific character you can ask someone in one of the shops to call the character hotline for you, they can find out if there will be an appearance in the park that day or not for you and also the where and when. Hope this helps a bit.

I would just make pages for you favorite, it makes it an adventure trying to find the charactersthat are your favorite. Leave a few pages blank for unexpected characters. Its not really who you will see its who will you stand in line for other than the character dining characters.

Great ideas. I'm planning on making each of my DD's one before we go in August. I'm just trying to decide if I should bind it with the bind it all or punch holes and use binder clips

Thank you for your answers PolyndianPrincessJes. I have used shutterfly and digital Creative Memories but sometimes I get free shutterfly books so I'll use them and I can't wait...my son will love it b/c he likes to help me with Disney stuff.
Again thank you so much it really means alot to me to get a new idea...and this one is brilliant.

Oh, you're very, very welcome!! Your little one will definitely have a great time helping and once you get to WDW. Even my mom (who enjoys Disney in spite of herself) made fun of it at first (and me, the uberplanner), but she really liked them once she saw how much attention DS got with them. ;)

You are all amazingly creative. Maybe I'll come up with a good idea this summer and work on it with the girls. It would be fun to use a homemade autograph book rather than the ones that everyone else is carrying around the parks!

Thanks for the inspiration.:grouphug:

You can find book bindings in scrapbooking aisles. I used my crop-o-dile to make the holes and squeezed the binding shut on mine.

Best of luck!

This is such a great thread! I am going in September and feel like I am really behind. I need to get started on an autograph book ASAP!

Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

I'm going to Disney at the end of November and I usually make something up for the girls but this time I'm going to get out all my scrapbooking supplies and go to town on making them their books. I'll post pics as this progress.;)

I used Snapfish to make the one I posted. I had some free credits at ArtsCow, so I used them to make our September ones. Only do that if you have quite a bit of time, though, because shipping can take a while.

I also have Shutterfly books that are great. Most photo sites offer them (just sign up and wait for a discount if you have time). I get hardback books, but the smaller books are available in paperback (5x7, 4x6, etc.).

Have fun!!!:wizard:

These autograph books are amazing! I am not as crafty as all of you that have made your own so I will probably have to go with Snapfish or Shutterfly. Could you please walk me through the process when I get to either of the above websites. I will have to have 4 made by September.
Thank you so much

I don't think I can every buy a generic autograph book again......
I'm going to need to get crafty..

Thanks for the ideas everyone! Your books look awesome!!!!!

Once you get there, it's very self-explanatory. Feel free to PM me, though, if you have any questions. :thumbsup2

Here's one of the two I made for next week's trip. The other is a pink one with a princess theme, but I didn't take a picture of it. (Mickey is for my kids to share, the princesses for my sister's kids to share.) We figured the characters wouldn't be too happy about signing 5 books for one family, so we went with two.

Love everyone else's books - especially the idea of using a digital storybook as an autograph book. Very cool!

We scrapbook each of our pages, and are actually up to 3 books (70 autographs) now. It's a labor of love, but they are gorgeous!

Here are a couple of pages from our latest book:

we made our own passporter Epcots world showcase for our grand daughter.
made her a passport for the inside the front cover. Each country has its own page with flag. a map of the country is the back ground a place for a passport stamp and a place for an autograph- a place to write her name in that way from each country,.
pm me if ya want to see.

where do you buy the rings that you used to hold the book shut??? I am doing a similar design...thanks
