Homecoming Pictures

My DD (14) just left for her first homecoming. If you read my last thread, this is the girl who is "socializing" too much and screwing up her History and Biology grade. Tonight will be her last night out for a LOOOONGGGG time!

So - was she grounded from the football game last night??

My DD is in her sophomore year of college. I am having Homecoming/Prom withdrawal in the worse way! I have even tried bribing my DS, a Jr. in HS to go so I could get my fix. So far it's a no go....

Yep, no football game; however, the game she wanted to go to was not the "homecoming" game. Her date is her friend from middle school. He now goes to private high school up closer to DC. Tonight is his homecoming. Hers is not until October 22nd. She thinks she's gonna go. I said "not unless those grades come up."

I'll bet you'll see her cracking the books big time then!! It's hard for them to sometimes get their footing when they first move up to HS.

Hey - maybe I should tell my son that if he doesn't get straight A's, he has to GO to Homecoming!! (He has a B in Trig right now.)

Hey, your DD's gown does look the same color as my DD's. Even has the little flower on the front!!!! She's very pretty! I hope her grades improve for her soon.

Very pretty, Christine. Hope they have a nice evening. And do hope she pulls those grades up, got to get off on the right foot. Why do 14 year olds look like 20 year olds now, LOL?

PS: on the picture size. If you go back to photo bucket and do a 50% size edit they will be about the right size for a post. Also on photobucket, no need to do the img tags her on the DIS, you get them already from photobucket.

Yeah, we were all snickering about that! My neighbors came up and we they were like "what's up with the hair?" He had it combed flat down all around and then there was this little "flip" thing going on. Oh well. My DD just adores him because he has a great sense of humor and is VERY funny.

Very pretty! I hope they have a fun time and those grades come up! It's amazing what a little incentive will do and I bet they improve. Have to chuckle about her dates hair....they'll both probably look at that picture in about 10 years and be like...WTH was going on with his hair!! LOL
