Home resort vs non-home resort reservation

Hello!

New DVC member here. Bought 2 resale contracts earlier this summer--Grand Floridian and Polynesian.

I will have my VGF points on my account several weeks before my Poly points. I want to book at the Poly for early next year (I am already within the 7 month window). I will need to "use" my VGF points to do this.

MY QUESTION IS: If I book Poly using my VGF points, once my Poly points are on my account, can I use those instead? Or would I have to cancel my existing Poly reservation and make a new one?

If it's within 7 months they typically will rearrange your points as you wish.

Only when you originally book at 11 months do they want the points to match the resort that you booked.

Will they be in the same membership? Meaning are they the same UY and titled the same?

If so, yes. If not, then not without a transfer.
