Home resort ss but want to stay at beach club villias

What would be the best thing to do to try to get a reservation for oct. 09 at the beach club villias? Would I book at ssr at 11 months out and then at 7 try for beach clunb? I'm still new at this so any help would be thankful!

I would book SSR at 11 months, and then try to switch to BCV at 7 months. Remember that Food & Wine Fest at Epcot will probably make getting into BCV or BWV for that timeframe difficult.

Unless you get lucky, an Oct. or Nov. ressies at BCV at 7 months out is really hard to get. You need to call 7 months ahead and book day to day and cross your fingers.

The next best thing to do is buy a BCV add on

We are going in the beginning of September and also own at SS. I called daily at the 7 month date to switch to a 1BR at BCV and was successful.

Now I realized that Sept isn't nearly as popular (no F&W) and 1BR I understand are the easiest to get.

Is the food and wine just at the bcv and bwv or is it all over? How crowded in the parks does it get? I just picked that time because my son's birthday falls then and it is low points. Thanks for the info.

Food & Wine is at EPCOT, all around the World Showcase area there will be food booths set up with sample sized servings of regional food available for a fee. Some countries are only present at EPCOT during F&W. Both BCV and BWV are heavily booked for that time period because of their proximity to EPCOT.

Thanks for the info. I will either have to change locations or date. We just came back and it was sooo crowded. I would just love to go when it is not, but still have decent weather!

Consider VWL - it's not quite as popular as the EPCOT resorts during October. You'll still need to call right at 7 months, though.

Our home resort is SSR but we now have 4 nights booked at BCV for mid November and hoping for 6 nights total. I didn't know about day by day booking last year and was disappointed when I called. Wait listing was so frustrating so I decided to try the day by day method and it's working beautifully. November just seems so far away now!!

For our October 2006 trip, I booked SSR (our home resort) at the 11 month window. On a whim, I called and was able to change to BWV's, and did not call have to call daily, just called and got the change. It was a one bedroom.


Not sure if you just want the EPCOT resorts for the F&W fest, or specifically want BCV's.

Also - we are have gone in September (it can still be very hot) and October (same). We love that time of year because it extends our summer a bit. You can definitely swim, weather in the 80's (september was 90's).

As for the parks, I did not find them to be overly crowded. Even the F&W fest was no big deal. We made sure to go during the week, as I have heard that EPCOT gets crowded on the weekends for the F&W Fest.

That is what we tried to to do this year. Booked 11 months out at SSR and called at the 7 month window 10/8 - 10/13 but BCV was all filled. We are a on a WL so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

We love SSR but last year we stayed one night at BCV's, before our Disney cruise, and went to Epcot for the F/W Festival...it was awesome...and we loved that we could just walk there.

That's what I was hoping but ended up waitlisted for a studio at VWL in late Oct. even tho I called at 7 mos. Seems like the F&WF has gotten so popular it tough to get in anywhere. I'm thinking maybe the proximity to MK and and MNSSHP may factor into the VWL being busy?

I wouldn't be surprised, go to MNSSHP and just hop the boat back to VWL.
