My son uses a breathing monitor in his pack-n-play, which requires a piece of masonite board under the mattress of the pack-n-play. We will need to stop on our way from the airport to Saratoga Springs to get this! Does anyone know of a close Home Depot or Lowes near Disney? I am thinking this is the only way to get this board, as packing it in our luggage is a no-go...it won't fit.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Go to Google Maps and enter "Home Depot near 32830" for the answer. Substitute Lowes for Home Depot on a second search. 32830 is the zip code for WDW.

BTW, you may want to check with SSR to see if this is something they can provide you.

Airlines will ship certain baby related items for free, not sure if it would apply in this situation but it's worth checking. That way you won't have to find a store, get them to cut what you need, etc. I would also second checking with the resort though you'll likely need to talk to maint to get any real answers. Also, you could request a crib which has a hard bottom but I think the mattress is a little thicker than a PnP mattress. Unfortunately, any choice other than taking what you need has the risk you may not be able to get what you want, when you want/need it.

Dean - that's a good idea to ask the airline. We are flying Southwest, so maybe if we just brought our piece of masonite they would check it through for us? Save us a stop. We would need it if he were in a crib as well. The breathing monitor rests on top of the masonite, under the mattress.

Thanks! :)

Then it should work in the cribs without anything due to their design, at least for the ones I've seen at Disney.

I would think the masonite would be considered part of the medical equipment he uses, and when you go through security with that as part of your carry-on (or is it too big?), if they ask, you can explain it. You could try calling Southwest, too.

There is a Home Depot right on Orange Blossom Trail ogg the 417, literally right at the exit.

If you ca't get things worked out, let me know. I just live in Celebration and would be happy to pick it up for you and bring it to the resort if I know what dimensions you need. PM me if you need help. :)
