Even though I was 100% positive this was legit, I did what you said. It was good advice. It was on there. I have no clue to how this was missed in the title search.

The people you paid to do the title search should be responsible for clearing this up since it was their error. I'd show up in person to their office if possible and if they continue to try to evade you I'd consider having my closing attorney draft a letter to them (on law office stationery) stating that you are holding them responsible for fixing this and if they don't that they will be responsible for any suffering you have because of their error.

Well, we have been calling the title company again all day today and kept getting the out of office message. About 15 minutes ago, we got a call from the person who handles this. She apologized for calling so late, but she had out-of-office meetings all day on Friday and had today off for personal reasons. She checked her voicemail and noticed quite a few messages, so she wanted to call us right away. No issue. Title insurance will handle it all. She’s going to call us back tomorrow morning when she’s in the office and get everything going.

Isn't it stuff like this that really gets you? If people would just do their job, things like this wouldn't happen.
