Holy Cow!! Just got a great price for a van in OCTOBER!!!

Okay by no means did i need a 15 passenger van for our trip in October but it was almost $200.00 cheaper then an economy car. You might wanna check it out on alamo.com. Might be a glitch but oh well..national has the same one for the same dates for $1202!!

Well, thank God I have a BJ's membership (and if I didn't, I would have been running right out to get one at that price)! It will be interesting to see if it is honored when we get to the counter.

My DH was thinking we needed a van with taking his parents...however, I think he was picturing a minivan

His other car is a fire truck with an 85 foot aerial ladder so I truthfully don't believe it will be a problem.

There won't be any time spent in the Alamo garage with creative suitcase packing this trip

I got a price of $248.64 for two weeks in October. That's with the pre-pay. I didn't use any discount codes.

I will have to let my neighbour know and see if he's interested in such a large vehicle.

I just tried it with the Walmart code, and the $20 coupon on the Alamo home page, and came up with the same price. The only problem is there is only two of us, and I am sure my husband doesn't want to drive a 15 person van around.

Well, DH was wanting a vehicle big enough for his golf clubs along with our luggage. This would probably work!

Wait a minute--how much is gas gonna cost for a 15 passenger van?! That may negate any savings right there!

OK, it gets better. I got the same rate for my Oct. 17-21 trip (Sat-Sat). I used the Visa code and coupon. The Visa code is similar to the OP one. 7014615 and coupon AD63514DS ($25). My week rate is $70.12. After taxes my total is $99.71. We are a party of 4 adults and 2 kids in carseats. Still alot of room for us, luggage and strollers, but heck for that price I'll hold on to it for a while. Thanks OP. The coupon is good until 10/31/09 and you might be able to find it by searching on the number and visa. I actually have a hard copy.

Thanks for the tip. We have 8 people going on our trip and to date the best I could do was $325.20 on a 7 passenger minivan.

I just booked for 11/27-12/6 (9 days) for $125.54 (that's with taxes and fees)! I was able to use the Costco id (7014627 - gave me a $12.97 discount) and coupon (AD63637RM - gave me another $25 discount). Now we'll have plenty of room for everyone and all of our stuff!

Wow, I am seriously considering this. Is it better to drive to the parks in this?? I have no idea how well I can drive one of these things though! I'm thinking it could be faster than disney transportation?? Since I have never been to wdw...if you drive to the parks do you still have to pay even though you are onsite? Is it a long walk from the parking lots?

The Visa code goes into the "code" box. I used this code (7014615) because I'm not a BJ member and do not have a card, but I will be using my Visa, so can use the Visa code. The coupon is AD63514DS, which is on the Visa coupon (w/this code) and is good for another $25 off.

Not sure why it's so low, maybe a glitch. But I'm keeping my current rental until last minute just in case this is not honored because of an error.

I'm assuming this is through Alamo? I'm so glad there were finally good deals. Unfortunately, I just tried for a week in early November and it is still 293.00 for a compact. Maybe things will improve later because I really like Alamo. We have a car booked with another company for 165.00 total, so we'll hold on to it.

Unfortunately, I don't need a full size van! I need something smaller, I don't want to drive a bus with just 2 kids and myself. Do you think they would "downgrade" me at the airport? Next cheapest (compact car) was coming up 3X the full size van rate.

I saw this deal also last night while checking prices for October. We rented this van for six adults and all the luggage a few years ago. Just want to let you all know this thing is BIG. They had a little plastic step to use to get into it and believe me we needed it.

Just want you all to be aware of the size.

I did not get it this time, I am hoping the prices drop a bit.
