I had one of these van rates for Dec 5-13th. Originally quoted $110 base for 8 days/$139.00 total with taxes/fees. Alamo had contacted me and changed me down to a 7 passenger minivan (which was far more practical for the 5 of us!). When I had done the reservation, I had applied the Wal Mart code for the free additional driver.
Got to the counter and the base rate was correct but the rep tried to charge me for the additional driver. Had to pull out the paperwork and tell him who I talked with at the main office in St. Louis, made the guy pull up the comments in the reservation, and held my ground-got the originally quoted rate with free additional driver. So any of you picking up on this, make certain that if you had the free additional driver that you don't get charged for this
