Holy Cow!! Just got a great price for a van in OCTOBER!!!

Sadly, some of us need help getting to the dark side!

Looks like you're arriving when we are departing. We get there 3 weeks from this Saturday (Oct. 17th). So far I've heard nothing from Alamo about changing this reservation. I do have a back up with Dollar in case they deny the reservation. We are 4 adults, 2 kids in carseats, 5 bags and one stroller. I think we'll have room for a few more families. We could start our own bus service to publix and the outlets. My DH could use some spending money.

At that rate, you can be a bus service! Grab some people at the bus stop and offer them a ride with you to the parks!

I just checked again for when my neighbour would want the van and the 15 passenger van did not show up. I don't know if they are all booked or if they have figured out that the prices are coming up too low.

I think they fixed it. I got a rate of $1,527.74 for eight days in early December. Think I will stick with my compact. (No doubt I will be able to get into the compact and actually drive it which I kind of doubted I could with the van.)

I think they fixed it. I got a rate of $1,527.74 for eight days in early December. Think I will stick with my compact. (No doubt I will be able to get into the compact and actually drive it which I kind of doubted I could with the van.)

Yes, it was a glitch. I think they dropped the last Zero. My quote is a total of $101 for 7 days (Saturday to Saturday) -- and that is the total after taxes. The offer was out for around 2 hours, before it was shut down. I would love to downsize to a minivan, but we can't go any smaller.

Highly doubt that your automobile insurance nor your credit card rental insurance will carry over to a 15 passenger van.

The rates seem to be going up for our October trip! sigh With taxes, almost $400 now! I'll have to hedge a bet and try to arrange for a "last minute special" rate.

Does anyone HAVE the 800 number for the helicopter rental agency?

Ouch! Still high for me (12/18-12/24) -- over $600/week for anything! I'll keep my $173 full-size at Thrifty and keep trying closer to the date.

Avis has a full size on your same dates for $187 using code "K199060" from Mousesavers for a total of $250.36. BUT, there is a coupon code of "muwa003" (which was on Avis' website, no coupon needed) for $35 off which is taken off at time of rental. So ... the rate comes down to $225 with taxes. An intermediate is $223 - $35 with taxes, so that gets you under $200 if you're OK with a smaller car. A compact is even less: $196 - $35 with taxes.

We are not concerned. 2 of our three vechicles are bigger than this van.

i was so excited, but this is only "valid at airport locations".
we prefer taking DME, & picking up a car while at WDW (we usually get one at the dolphin alamo/national).
best i've gotten is $276.22 total mid-size thru dollar (regal sun), oct 3-11.
compact was just a few $'s less (it's only DH & myself).

i'm not even hoping for the great $100-ish deals ~ it's just that under $200 would be nice

When I use the IG code it will NOT let me use any coupons with it?? How did you get it to take your coupon? What coupon code is it, if I may ask?
