Hi Heather!

If you have an account with Disney (ie: "My Disney Vacation"), you can do Resort Check-In online. I'm not entirely sure how it works since it just got online yesterday.

I'm guessing it just takes some of the more mundane check-in tasks done and out of the way before you get there. I'm hoing there is a separate line at check-in.

We'll find out soon enough! I think I'm going to try it, just to try it and see what it does.

I'm thinking no, since they are probably still shifting people around until you actually get there. It's so new, but I think it is more to streamline the actual check-in process.

I'll have a journal with me, so I'll write as I go along. I plan on writing a trip report when I return.

This is the first time that I travelled solo, but I do have family and a friend nearby, but will not be seeing them every day. I was nervous starting out, then I'm starting to like this idea of going where I want to, when I want to.

So, I went shopping. I should not have done it, but I did. But, all were great prices (on sale/clearance), needed and therefore could not pass them up.

I bought several pants (both for work and the trip), Nikes ($12!), couple of tops and a cute suit jacket in a cute plum color. Nothing super-duper crazy. I swear there is something they put in the air at Kohl's.

Then I decided to do something actually crazy and make a "safari" outfit for Animal Kingdom day. I had these nice new khaki-colored pants, a funky jacket (not sure I'm going to need it depending on the weather), sort of hiking shoes and it seemed like a safari outfit. Though, I am not sure how I'm going to deal with Kali River Rapids because of the wet factor. Still have to think on that one. I'm very excited to finally step foot back in this park.

That done, this means, of course, I have to figure out theme outfits for the other parks. I think. I may just limit the madness to one park. I have almost 6 days to figure it out.

Ok, so I still have to:

1) Pack - I have the travel items ready, but still road testing some of my clothing choices and I have to break in the new sneakers. So far, so good.
I did actually bring my luggage up from the basement; just didn't unzip it yet.

2) Planning- I'm thinking just to dump the planning and figure it out when I hit the park. I have my lists of "must-do" for each park (see previous posts). I haven't completely decided against getting RideMax and just fiddling around with it.
And the changing of the Disney calendars are messing with my head.

I'll revisit this more tomorrow, since there is a snow storm currently and YES, IT'S MARCH 1! My office already called and is closed for tomorrow.

I am struggling with my clothes too. I lost weight over the year, so I have shorts that are too big and shorts that are too small. LOL! I have a few that fit, but if I eat and get bloated they may be a bit uncomfortable.
And for some reason I can't find any of my tank tops that fit. Most are either too small (from way back when I was skinnier) or just way to big and look awful.
We are going shopping today for stuff like Detergent..etc for the home, at Target, so I'll look and see if they have any decent size tanks. I don't want to spend much though. I have two disney T's though that I have packed.
The weather so far is looking to be in the 70's all that week for the most part. Accuweather and weather .com don't show the same stuff though. LOL!

Accuweather shows it to be warmer and nicer.

I love the idea of a themed outfit for each park. You should totally do it!

HOW jealous am I of you right now - in it's 25 years, my company has never closed or even had a delay for inclement weather. I trekked in through the snowstorm and have already been sitting at my desk for over an hour Boo!!

Less than a week for you! You must be so excited I have 10 days to go and need to start packing!
