So, I think I'm going to jump in and do a pre-trip report.
I am going mostly solo as a birthday present to myself from March 8 -15th.
I haven't been to Disney since December 2006 and even then, it was only to Epcot. So, I have lots of catching up to do!
I do have a good friend in the area as well as some family, but all is up in the air. Update: said friend will be joining me for 2 days in the parks! My cuz will join me for my last day
I got my resort (POFQ) booked, my flights set, decided against the dining plan, went with park hopper/no exp tickets and decided to go with a shared photopass.
I ordered customized maps (update: got them! they are gorgeous! not using them in the park, they are keepsake quality) and made a tentative touring plans. I have another thread going (got lots of wonderful advice! ty!) on which rides are do-able for my wimpy nature.
Sunday:
Arrive at POFQ by Magical Express by 3pm-ish
Dinner/Fireworks at the Poly -
done
Monday:
EMH AM - Animal Kingdom -
Epcot - 7:30pm Rose & Crown reservations
Illumination watching
Tuesday:

Wednesday:

4:20pm Fantasmic Dinner package at Hollywood Studios

Thursday: Whirlwind Day!

AND
Animal Kingdom
Friday:

done
Downtown Disney
done
Saturday:
Boardwalk
Fantasia Garden - mini-golf
Sunday:
Check-out at POFQ
11am flight back home
Still need to build in: (though I don't need to do all)
Scat Cat visit at POFQ
Boardwalk visit
Poly visit to watch Wishes / Electric Water
Try Mini-golf
Ride the monorail / boats
Butterfly Garden at POR - didn't get there
Animal Kingdom Lodge to see animals at dusk - didn't get there
I want to be as efficient as possible with Disney transportation (I'm still trying to learn/memorize it) and combine trips.
The park hours are still fairly in turmoil from what I understand from the rest of the board.
