We ate at H&V last night as part of Fantasmic dinner pkg.
Waited only 10 minutes for our PS table at peak time (6:00 pm). No walk-in diners were permitted from around 5:40 to 7:00 due to the number of PS's.
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive--he even offered us coffee to-go when we were leaving!
Food was excellent! All the salads and appetizers were as good as they looked. Entrees and side dishes were way above expectations for a buffet. (Had to ask for the recipe card for the spoon cornbread--a first for me since I don't cook.) I felt the food quality and selection were worth the cost of the meal ($21.99 adult).
There were plenty of choices which our 9-yr-old son, the meat eater, enjoyed: steak, spoon cornbread, potatoes, a very good mac & cheese, and more. And many kid fav desserts including home-made moon pies and make-your-own sundaes.
The only negative for me was the dessert table. The only dessert which, IMHO, tasted as good as it looked was the hot apple cobbler. None of the pastries and cakes tasted as good as I'd expect at a fine restaurant. (Didn't enjoy their keylime nor pecan pies at all.)
They gave us our pass and we went to special entrance for Fantasmic show at about 7:45 pm. Got OK seats and still had to sit over 30 minutes before the show started. Too bad the long wait is still reqd even with the dinner pkg.
