Hollywood & Vine OR Mama Melrose's??

If you had only one choice between the 2 and only these 2, what would it be? why?

We have only eaten dinner at H&V once and it was only okay. We've had better food at Mama Melrose.

H & V is one of only 2 restaurants in all of WDW that I will never return to!!!
I went with reasonable expectations for a Disney buffet.
The hot food was not hot, the cold food was not cold, we were surrounded by dirty, unbussed tables and our waitress was RUDE - the only time this has happened to us in WDW. The Ladies Room was filthy.
I am usually not negative, but this was a really bad experience.

Voted for Mama Melrose. It has always been a consistent meal for us, and we have been there 5 times. If they have gotten it right that many times, it gets my vote.

Thanks for the feedback. I thinking Mama Melroses, but on previous trips didn't pay much attention to sit down meals in HS.

Mama Melrose isn't great. It is a solid restaurant similar to what you would get with an Applebees or something. That said, it is way better than H&V in my opinion. I really wish they would do something about the quality of the food choices in DHS. There isn't a lot of consistancy there.

NO comparison IMO. Mama Melrose is a place we have enjoyed on multiple occasions(and are planning on returning to during our trip in October) and H&V is the only restaurant at Disney we have tried that we will not return to.

We went to Mama Melrose on our last trip and it was so-so. Not fabulous but not bad. I was so tired that day, it was blazing hot and the air conditioner felt great

I am glad to hear some reviews about H and V. We were going to go there so my DD could see Special Agent Oso but may have to reconsider.

mama melrose is pretty good. our meals have been consistant the past 3 trips we've ate there. hollywood and vine is good for breakfast.... but not for lunch or dinner. we actually like to eat at h&v in the mornings before the park opens because you can get close to the rope at rope drop!!

I agree completely with what was said here, this was our same experience when we dined there and we have yet to go back. As for MM, we really enjoyed our meal there. The food is really good, the service is great, and the whole ambiance of the restaurant is good as well.
