Hollywood Studios Play N Dine Questions

Hi all....

Planning at trip with my kids this summer and was wondering if the Hollywood Studios Play N Dine character dining was going to be update with current Disney Junior Characters? My younger kids LOVE Jake and the Neverland pirates and was hoping they would be included....as well as OSO

Anyone eaten there recently or have any updates?

Agent OSO is there - I couldn't tell by your post if you knew that or were hoping for that. That's all I know - the rest of the characters are still the Little Einsteins, I believe.

They have OSO and Handy Manny, I think the other two characters are Little Einsteins, whatever those are. I knew who Handy Manny was but I wouldn't know OSO if he sat next to me on the metro.

While I honestly have absolutely no clue, I almost doubt they'll change them before the summer. Previous to the Little Einsteins and Oso, they had some *really* old characters that they just didn't get rid of. They haven't had these there that long, so I'd be surprised if they were replaced that quickly.

With that said, though, you should check out the Little Einsteins...they're actually quite cute.

My older daughter LOVED the Little Einsteins....but my younger two would have NO IDEA.....

We did Play and Dine in 2007 and it was roughly the same characters.....excepts for they took away Jojo and Goliath and brought in Manny and Oso....

How about the food....breakfast or lunch?

I am glad that they at least updated some of the characters. Jojo and Goliath were getting really old. My oldest barely remembered who she was and my LO had no clue at all. I wish they would add Jake too. My son would love to see him.

Personally speaking - and understanding that my first trip to H&V will be in June - I'd go with breakfast. This restaurant gets a lot of really bad reviews for some reason, but it's pretty danged hard to mess up breakfast. Plus, if you do breakfast, you can do a pre-rope drop breakfast and be out in time for TSM or whatever.

We just did lunch there on Monday and saw Einsteins, Oso, and Handy Manny. There were a lot of signs about Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so maybe they are working on adding them in? We personally enjoy their lunch, I also read many bad reviews before this trip and before our last but tried it anyway and it is a hit for everyone.

We had lunch there last week - still Oso, Manny & the Einsteins. Jake & the Neverland Pirates are part of the new Disney Junior show at HS, which was really cute. We didn't see the characters anywhere yet.

By the way, we were really nervous eating there because of the reviews - lunch was fine - not wonderful but good - not horrid like Planet Hollywood. And it was clean - which I had heard it was messy. And the characters spent lots of time at the tables and there was singing and dancing for the younger set.
