We have 3 days left on our tickets and are going back in November. We have 3 kids (9,6 and 1) . We are for sure doing Epcot and MK. Trying to decide which other park to go with. We have been several times but have never done HS. My kids do not care for Star Wars and we have wanted to avoid the construction. They love AK and Pandora. We are considering HS this time because of Toy Story Land. Im sure they would enjoy it. Is that enough though to skip AK? What would you do?

I think you might want to wait until you start hearing more about how the rides and area are at TS land. We are going end of November and for us we are popping in to check it out, but really only planing on spending a couple hours there. We have hoppers so we can spend the rest of our day elsewhere as even with TS land there still isn't a ton to do. If your family loves Pandora I might lean towards AK as your kids at those ages will find enjoyment in some of the shows and more of the rides at AK.

I agree wit @kniquy . Star Wars has a pretty big presence in HS and unless you are all interested in stage shows there might not be enough to keep everyone interested. I doesn't seem like you will be able to spend a whole day in just the Toy Story part but if the kids are big fans I could be wrong about that! I think there is more to do in AK, especially if they like Pandora! Between the shows, rides, and all the trails to explore it will easily fill a day.

Animal Kingdom might be a little less crowded in November because of Toy Story Land opening up in DHS. Personally, I prefer Animal Kingdom over DHS.

I'm actually going to recommend HS, only because I think it is fun to try something new every time we go the WDW. That said, since you have some time before you have to decide, why not wait to read the reports people post here in July about Toy Story Land? I have a bit of a concern that the new rides are going to be somewhat disappointing (I still don't understand how taking a standard rollercoaster metal track, putting a slinky dog head on the front care, and adding some statues of toy story characters standing around on blocks qualifies as Disney-level imagineering, but maybe there will be some surprises), which would make it not worthwhile given the increased crowds that can be expected.

I wouldn't do Hollywood Studios with your 1 year old. Other than the Toy Story ride my 1 year old hated it and had a bad day, which affected our whole family's day. The biggest problem is that there are no play areas for him to freely move around in HS, whereas AK has a huge play area which we visited twice. He could also go on a few rides at AK: Navi River, safari, the spinning dinosaur ride like Dumbo. He hated sitting at shows at HS, would tantrum, and we would have to leave. So I would vote AK.

HS is my least favorite park BUT I can’t imagine a trip without going on ToT. In Feb my almost two year old loved the storm trooper march so much we ended up watching almost every hour - and I’m not a Star Wars fan in the slightest. I have to say though that I’m excited about Toy Story land opening and wouldn’t want to skip it. Both my kids love the movie and I’m def a fan too :)
I love AK so it’s a hard decision! There’s no way you could add a hopper just for that one day?

You have time to decide - hear about TSL before you decide. I've been with my niece between the ages of 17 months and 8 yo. She LOVES TSM, and I am certain will love the two new rides in TSL. She loves the Muppets thing. Little Mermaid. The Frozen show. Beauty and the Beast. Getting pizza for lunch (a tradition at HS for us) - makes her day. She isn't hugely into Star Wars - but likes the Stormtrooper parade - thinks that's cool to watch. Sitting by Echo Lake and getting ice cream. While I do doubt the 1 yo will tolerate the Indy Show - she's been engaged by it at 6 and 8.

That said - she also loves AK...... alot. Yes - she can watch animals for hours. And while I despise Dinoland - she loves that section of the park.

The only place that bores her is the World Showcase part of Epcot. Besides knowing she'll get to eat ice cream sometime during the walk around the world - she just wishes we would hurry up and get it over with. (But she loves the rides in FW)

If it was her choice - she might give up Epcot - even though she loves the Figment ride (??? why??? she's 8, I guess) and Test Track at EP - before giving up a day at either AK or HS.

We do have hoppers but we find that tough on the kids and getting FP for FOP and Toy story rides would be impossible. We are not fans of waiting more than 20 mins for a ride. I should say the 1 year old is turning one on the trip. She may not even be walking yet. I imagine she will be happy to be in her carrier and checking things out. I am leaning toward AK though. I personally think its the most beautiful park. We will wait to decide for sure to hear reports of Toy Story Land though!
