Hollywood Studios (first time)

This fall we will be visiting Disney World for the third year in a row We have yet to take the kids to Hollywood Studios (ages 4 & 7) and I heard we've been missing out. Is it best to arrive when the park opens? What about early breakfast reservations ? any suggestions. Thanks.

Hollywood and Vine does a nice character breakfast buffet. And IMO getting to the park at rope drop is always a good idea unless you are traveling to Disney at a REALLY off peak time.
