Both rides are roller coasters in the two Orlando studio parks. Both rides get high wait times on busy days constantly.
Which is the better ride?

It's hard to take this one seriously.

It's like comparing the Dr Seus Trolley to test Track.

Slinky was a fabulous addition to HS. I do still rope drop it, if I'm not rope dropping Rise/Resistance, or last trip got in line at 4 mins to closing. Slinky is super fun at night.
RRR was WAY intense for me when I rode it years ago. actually haven't ridden again since that 1 time. It's a lot. Picking a song tho is SO much fun, and hearing "I Will Survive," while riding that crazy coaster was great! THe kids enjoy RRR, but I'm going to vote for Slinky for this one.

Slinky Dog is a coaster that is super smooth and rides bigger than it really is.
However, it misses the features of a serious coaster that Rip Ride Rockit has. Both are fun and totally different.

RRR looks nice and has some great elements, but the restraints are terrible and the ride is so rough. I do not find it enjoyable to ride. Plus I have always hated the stop and go nature of it. Feel like you slam into brakes after every element.
SDD I have not ridden yet, but looks like an enjoyable family coaster with some good, light theming. Since I haven't ridden it I can't fully compare the experience of the two. But would lean towards SDD just because it looks like a more enjoyable experience.

Honestly, they are so very different, and while I like Rip-Ride it's also a rough ride. I find Slinky to be more pleasant, so I'm going with the Dog!

RRR is kind of rough. I was surprised about that, I guess it’s just the older technology. I liked the ride (and loved the super short wait especially vs Slinky, it’s faster than the LL!), but I tried to keep my head back and it just bumped against the headrest 😅
Slinky gets my vote because it’s so smooth, and it can accommodate larger riders (I have family who can’t fit into RRR seats).

It sounds like RRR will be closing at some point in 2023 for a full track re-do. Universal did that around 2017 for Hulk and last year for Mummy. Hopefully that will smooth it out. It's too rough for me to enjoy. I'll ride it once per trip if we are with people who haven't ridden and want to try it but they usually agree they're done after that one ride. I assume they won't close RRR until after the new Minions ride opens since it's in the same area of the park.
