Hollywood/LA Tour thru DL Website

I'm a WDW vet going to DL for the first time this October and, although I'm not really interested in looking around LA, my travelling companion is. I want him to be able to see what he wants to, but I'm in charge of the planning and my Asperger's won't let me go wild and hop on the subway (even with someone else) and go to certain places on our own. Straying away from WDW is hard enough (but I really want to go to DL at least once), but I'm also pretty sure I wouldn't be able to extend myself to booking an outside tour company either and finding our way to them. If I could keep it all "in house", it would make the entire process a lot more comfortable for me.

I noticed the DL site offers several different tours of LA, Hollywood, the OC and other areas and I was wondering if anyone has ever taken any of these tours? It doesn't say on the DL site who operates them, so I've got nothing to compare them to. It looks as though it will suck up an entire day of park time, but I'm willing to sacrifice (as much as I can).

Can anyone help me? Are there any other non-Asper-panic-inducing options that anyone might know of?

I haven't seen anything about non-DL tours being offered through the Disneyland.com website before. Can you post the link?

Not really because it's at the end of the check out process of planning a trip (past the point of booking airfare or car service). I haven't been able to locate it anywhere else on the site. If you do a mock trip and get past the Disney part, then you will see it. It's where you can also book Universal, Knotts Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo, etc. Sorry!
