Can you make a reservation at the brown derby and then just have dessert? It sounds really nice but I have already gone over my table service credits and cant justify paying for a meal there. DH especially would not be happy to see me paying OOP for an expensive meal like that. Thats why I was hoping we could stop in for just dessert while touring DHS

I can't see any restaurant, other than a buffet or family style establishment, forcing you to order or pay for food you don't want. If you want to have dessert at HBD make your ressie and go for it. It's your vacation!

I'm sure some will tell you it's rude or inconsiderate. I don't buy in to that. Just make sure to take care of your server with a decent tip and have fun!

People are free to order whatever they want when they sit down at a restaurant.

That being said, if all you're wanting is dessert then you might want to consider popping in to Starring Rolls instead. It'll be cheaper and faster and you'll have a much wider selection and you can even use snack credits to pay. You won't be sitting in the air conditioning though.

One of my dream meals at Brown Derby is to share the Cobb Salad and then enjoy both the Grapefruit Cake and the Cobbler with my DH along with a cup of coffee. And it wouldn't even be all that expensive.

Go for it!!!

I don't think it would be a problem at all. As a pp said, just be sure to take care of your server!

We love HBD and tho we ate dinner there last trip, we wanted a quick snack one afternoon (around 3pm) and were able to get a table as walk-ups. We shared an app and a dessert, and it worked out fine. ;)
