I have a few questions related to HBD. We haven't booked a FDP in quite a while, because my DH & DS don't care for the show. Our upcoming trip is for my birthday, so we're going.

1. We prefer to eat on the late side. I made a 6pm ADR, which is still earlier than we like. Unfortunately, we probably couldn't make it to an 8:30 F!, if we booked it later. What do you think?

2. We're going in the beginning of May. Should we reconsider booking the package? If not, how early should we get in the standby line?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hopefully, some of you will be able to answer my questions. :)

You probably wont make it if you book any later. FDP actually have their latest reservation we were told at 5.40pm so this is a good time.

We've done standby in May and its busy but not completley undoable and if you don't really like the show and just wanna see it its fine. I'd say aim to go straight from dinner there to get a good spot. Dinner in Brown Derby usually takes 1.30 to 2 hours from my past experience which would make it 7.30 - 8 which I would say is a reasonable amount of time before.

I'd say only book the package if you really want to see the show. Also the last time we did this package it rained and they were going to cancel the show anyway! It was a pain because we only booked the package for the show and I would have rather just have a main course at Brown Derby then go to the show.

Good plan. I think youll be fine! We've never had a problem in May as long as you get there around 30 mins before and you'll have plenty of time for that
