Hi. Just booked Hollywood backstage magic trip and am wondering about the rooms. What kind of view is usual for rooms on these tours? Thanks so much!

We have taken the ABD Backstage Tour twice in the past year, both times our rooms were courtyard views, nothing special.

Last week during our stay if we leaned out on our balcony, we could see a small part of Downtown Disney, and the monorail did run through our courtyard.

You will have a blast on this adventure no matter what view you get.

Thanks. It's Disney, so I'm assuming the courtyard is at least kind of scenic. I am hoping to not just be looking at a parking lot, though! :)

Ps-TWICE!?!?!?!
Wow! We cannot wait to go!
If you have any tips to share I would love to hear them!

Ooooh-one more thing-- Soundtastic Parade, Ariels undersea adventure and Star Tours are all starting up shortly before our trip, sooooo I wonder if we'll get to see behind the scenes, or fastpass, or ride them as a group with no wait?!?!!?!!

Twice. We went in April '10 and again last week.

Tips -

Be prepared to be thrilled. If you are into Disney you will have the tour of a lifetime. The second time for us was just as special as our first tour.

There will be time during the tour for you to explore on your own, and if you are at the parks, there should be Fast Passes given to you by your guides for you to use. There will be some rides that the tour will backdoor you into, but that changes with each tour and the ABD schedule.

Be prepared to GO GO GO. The tours start early everyday and are packed full of activities.

World of Color is a MUST SEE. Check with your tour guides, they may have made plans to include it in your tour.

Be prepared to make new friends, the tour really brings everyone together. We met people that not only shared our passion for Disney, but now have become friends forever.

Have a great tour!

We took the tour last August and just a word of warning - you will not be in your room enough to care about the view. Believe me! Early to rise late to bed everyday! We had a blast, but I could have cared less what was outside the room by the time we finally got to bed each day.

Also, I agree with above - DO NOT MISS World of Color - it's AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks. We're definately not "sit ariound" on vacation people, but we are looking forward to enjoying GC and Dis parks for a few days before/after the official tour.:wizard: Disney magic!

I've been twice myself and #3 is coming this summer. I'm just as excited as the first trip! You are in for an unbelievable/magical experience. Your Tour Guides also MAKE this trip! You will love them!!! And, I agree, you will love everyone you are with and make friends of a lifetime! Both of my trips I had the front view. But, it was pretty with the trees. Not so bad. No parking lot to view as it's across the street. My friends had a courtyard view (beautiful/calm) and also the Paradise Pier (new part) view on my tours. It just depends what is available when you are there. But, I agree, you won't be in your room but to sleep and shower. The rest is going going going! Dress comfortable, thats for sure. Casual disney with your favorite/comfy shoes. Take everything in slowly as it happens so fast. I did that the second trip. Have batteries charged every day for the camera with PLENTY of memory cards. The tour guides also take pics that you will be able to have (purchase still?). Have a magical time! I hope you tell us all about it. When do you go?

Can't wait for #3:woohoo: Definitely keep the batteries charged. This last trip I brought a spare battery because the trip before it kept dying. It is so much fun, but I learned to take an extra day off from work to try and recover from vacation! The tour guide pics were still for sale as of October.
