Can't find much about what is offered on the menu. I see it's like a buffet but would like some opinions about a recent visit - worth it for the Fantasmic package? It is pretty expensive for me and DH just to get the dinner package tix. I wonder if it's worth it. I would prefer Mama Melrose but nothing is available for Feb trip. I've never seen Fantasmic and missed it on our last trip so I really want to go this time.

Another thing - I'll have an ECV that I'm renting off property and will take to the show. Obviously we'll be in the handicap seating area so do you think it's worth getting in early with the dinner package to sit in the handicap area? I imagine if I were to leave the scooter at the 'gate' that the fantasmic seats are like bleachers or something so I can't do that with my back.

We've been to H&V and I had no complaints. Nothing super fancy or amazing, but it was good, normal buffet food. Meats and sides and desserts. I think it is definitely worth getting the Fantasmic package!

We did it last year and found it to be like cafeteria food. Definitely not worth the price, but it was all we could get for the package. WE wanter MM, but it was booked at 6am my first day to call. Same thing this year, but I was able to get Brown Derby! I won't do fantasmic without the package. No way are we waiting an hour and a half to two hours for it, and at least part of that standing in a non moving line. At least with the package we can sit down 45 min before the show in a reserved seat.

I'd take Hollywood and Vine over Mama Melrose any day! The buffet is decent food, nothing fancy but your basic buffet stuff. The dinner package does reduce the wait for Fantasmic and the seating is just fine. If I recall, there is a handicapped seating area at the top of the Fantasmic section. The seats are like bleachers.

We always book the H & V Fantasmic package. We tried MM once and all 4 chose to go back to H & V next trip.

We did the Fantasmic dinner package at H&V. Loved the access to Fantasmic, hated the food. We have eaten at over 70 of the restaurants at WDW, most of them several times. H&V ranks among the 2 or 3 worst meals/restaurants at which we have eaten. Variety was good, quality was horrible, temperature of food was horrible, service was horrible, noise level was horrible due to the acoustics, theming was non-existent and atmosphere was not amenable to an enjoyable meal, and the buffet was structurally set up very poorly.

I would rather eat at McDonalds seven days a week than to eat at H&V ever again. We did it twice and wish we had learned from the first time. The host was rude both times, the service non-existent, the restaurant filthy (sticky tables, floors), the food lukewarm and mediocre at best (and that's when there was food out--it took them forever to replenish empty bins). The best part of the whole place is the dessert. We do Mama Melrose and have never had a bad meal in four times.

you are going to find some dont like going to H and V and others are so so and some love it......remember that we are all a bunch of different people...
My hubby and I went in September and we enjoyed our meal. I like the roast beef and the seasonings on it were great. I also love the pasta alfredo with seafood.....the options were really great...
Hope you have a great time
