Hollywood and Disneyland in 2008

so this is interesting... i was just told in 2008 that early entry is changing from monday to sunday. (plus tuesday thursday saturday). staying at the GCH gives access to early entry, so you'll have that on sunday too if you extend the ticket.

Hi Brad ... I will be on the August 12 tour, so I can't wait to hear how your trip went. I am flying in on Saturday as well, and planning on doing the Universal VIP tour on Sunday. On Monday I hope to do the Warner's tour. I thought about trying to get tickets to some tapings, however, it being August, I'm not sure what will be available. I talked to ABD about attending the taping of Jimmy Kimmel, but you have to be 18 and my daughter will be 4 days shy of her 18th birthday!

usually by the beginning of may, most shows are on hiatus. dunno how the strike is supposed to effect this though. but i think talk shows typically tape year round (with some exceptions). unless it's changed, universal used to distribute jay leno tix at the park and i believe even provided transportation but i don't know how that would mesh with the VIP tour.

i'm pretty sure there was another site, but you can check for available shows at http://www.tvtickets.com although august is too far out right now (so is april for that matter). http://www.seeing-stars.com is a good resource for additional info on tapings, sites to see and events going on.

i can't believe that 4 days would make that much of a difference though for kimmel. that's terrible. i'd probably go ahead and check 1iota.com as the time approaches and see if she can get tix for the show that night through there.

Regarding Jimmy Kimmel, This is just what the ABD castmember at reservations said. I'm hoping that when we get there, we may be able to work things out. I'm pretty good at sweet talking so you never know

hopefully it'll be long over by april, but just an fyi: kimmel is returning to the air jan 2 (along with conan o'brien and jay leno) sans writers.

Thanks for the heads up. I found the article, and it is truly going to be a special trip. I can't wait. This has made me even more excited. We start the tour 7 months from tomorrow. I can't wait to read trip reports from the first few DISer's that will be going there in April!!!

We just booked the Dec 9th adults only for this adventure. I can't wait!!!!
I am glad to hear you can extend your Disneyland ticket because I booked us an extra night at the Grand Californian so we can have an extra day on Sunday.

Brad.....Let me know if the ABD tour covers the same material as the Walk In Walt's footsteps tour. I have been thinking about this & if it's different stuff I definetly want to do the extra footsteps tour.

We are going to spend Sat-Tues in San Diego before the adventure.

I had a great time getting to know my fellow Diser's before our Disney cruise in Oct & it would be great to do the same thing for this trip. I agree with you about the tour, but I just don't want to miss a thing....I am such a HUGE Walt fan.
I can't wait for this trip......it sounds like a trip of a lifetime. I will be & my DH & we really wanted to do the adult only trip since we don't have any kids.

well it just came to my attention that JB will be starting flights at LAX in May, about a month after my trip (they did this to me before too by starting BUR a month after the last time I flew to LAX because JB wasn't an option)

so for anyone who may find that useful. they have routes between JFK<->LAX and BOS<->LAX
