O.k breathing a bit quickly now:thumbsup2. But I showed my hubby the video off the disney cruise site about the disney dream...."um that looks great". Then I pipe up "well there is a four night cruise the day after we land". "really......five minutes later, I think you should book it". O.k don't need to say that twice. Credit card out in five seconds flat. I had us booked within 10mins:lmao:. No refund policy was the words that came outa my mouth afterwards:confused3:rotfl:. LOL! So I would love to hear of anyone going on the dream or who has been on the dream. We leave on the 28th October returning 1st Nov. I am so excited, just hope no one gets sea sick:sick:. I made sure we got a room mid ship on the 6 deck so I hope that will help reduce the risk of that. The two younger kids are so looking forward to the kids club, but DD13 has said thats just baby sitting and I ain't going to any baby sitting club:scared1:. I hope once she goes to the Edge she will like it enough to want to go back....I would love some adult time with my hubby, just to be able to relax and not have "mum" said to me every five second with some demand:confused:. I hope she likes it, other wise she will be following us around for the entire cruise:scared1:. Anyway excited very much, I just had to share this important update with my fellow disney friends:grouphug:

Awesome :thumbsup2

I love hearing those 6 little words "I think you should book it"

....which then coverts into the even more awesomeness of "I just booked....".

Congratulations. :goodvibes

Yay! Congratulations!!! That is very exciting news indeed. Believe when I say that the Disney kids club onboard is a whole lot more than just babysitting! Hoping that your DD13 will feel the same way!

Does anyone know if we need extra visas for the Bahamas? It only just occured to me! We have the American ones will this cover us?

The American ones cover you I asked the same question when we were trying to decide between the Bahamas and the Caribbean! I hope you love it we loved our cruise on the magic in December :)

congrats :) i love the feeling of having just paid for a trip :)

hope you enjoy it and can't wait to read your TR :)

good to see we have the DH's well trained......:thumbsup2

awesome re cruise....he's going to love it :lovestruc

Hope you have a great time, we loved the 3 night cruise we did in 2010. The only problem we had was that our 2 girls couldnt go to the kids club together as one was 15 years old and the other one was 12 years old. They would have been in seperate clubs, you know, teenagers are different. Anyway the girls wanted to be together so they just spent there time either with us or just together. That was the only downside for us. You shouldn't have this problem so enjoy. :cool1:

You will love it! The Dream is gorgeous and a four night is a perfect intro into cruising. No Visa for Bahamas or Caribbean.

Congratulations! I'd love to do a cruise but DH is not remotely interested :sad1:

Congratulations... The boat looks amazing! Iv been so tempted to book this so many times. First was before we booked and now I have booked I keep pondering over whether to surprise my OH with a 5th Sept 3 day cruise. My problem is the kids club doesnt seem to look after kids under 3 (son will be just under 3) so I can see us spending the 3 days pacing up and down the boat following him.

However... There is still another 14 months till we go and anything could come over me during that period!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hope you have a fab time and come back and report back to us!

:thumbsup2

Thanks guys, I have been venturing over to the cruise section of the DISboards as well, trying to rack up so information. Anyone done any of the activites at Nassau or castaway cay? If so can you give me any advice? Or should we just get off and explore? It looks really expensive to do these activites but if you guys think they are worth it...then we will book some? Yay I am just so excited...this trip has changed alot since I booked our airfares but now I know the whole trip will be Disney Disney Disney. I feel very very happy!!! First four days on the Dream, then one week booked for BLT and just to book another wk at WDW for the final wk. We will do two days at Dallas coming home, but I figured from what I have read two days will be more than enough there.

Went on the Dream last month- started our cruise on mothers day.
Our kids had a blast (aged 14&16 both girls). There is a lot of activities for all ages. Wife & I hardly seen the kids except for our allocated meal time @ nite.
One nite they got back to cabin @ 2am after going to teenage retreat.
We went on the jetskis & snorkelling @ Castaway Cay- both excellent, when snorkelling you swim out and there is hidden treasures to find at each bouy.
Went on a glass bottom boat in Nassau- good one hour - really shows you how poor you really are- some amazing water properties in Nassau.
Food is good on cruise, some menus are better than others, you can eat in restuarant or buffet for b/fast & lunch, also snack are available any other time @ snack shack place or by room service.
Plenty of adult areas as well

Thanks for the reply and advice slugguts! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I was thinking of doing a day pass to the water park at atlantis and then a wonder around the straw markets afterwards.

The more I read about Disney CL the more I think I need a cruise:rotfl: I can't wait to hear what you think of it.

Congrats on the booking:thumbsup2

Atlantis looks fantastic but I do believe that it is quite expensive to go.
You might like to look up on disboards how other people got the cost down.
I think you rent a room at one of the hotels near and you get admission to Atlantis.
Already miss the Bahamas -rum and warm weather and more rum
Also the BBQ @ Castaway Cay was excellent and you will want to try their signature cocktail-conch cooler
Cheers
