I set my alarm for 9. The first thing I had to do was call a taxi service to get my groom, his dad, and his best man to the Wilderness Lodge. I called his dad and told him the arrangements. After that I hopped in the shower. I thought I was going to just lay in the room, and watch tv until everyone arrived. Well, after maybe 20 minutes that wasn't going to work. I went to walk around the resort. I first went into the shop, and bought my dad a picture frame (that I would end up forgetting to give him). Then I decided to do what I had been planning on doing for months, go bike riding. I rented a bike and rode over to Fort Wilderness. On my way back, I got a call from Marion my wedding planner. She told me that everything was all set to go, and that the parlor had been decorated for Christmas. She also asked my room number, which I found odd because I gave it to her assistant the previous day. After I returned the bike, I headed back to my room. I still had about an hour, so I hooked up my dvd player and watched Cars. I decided to go get something to eat before everyone arrived. I hadn't eaten all morning, and I didn't want to be starved by the time of the reception. As I headed to the cafe, my MOH had called saying she had just arrived. I met her in the lobby. At that time my mom called saying she was going to be a little late. She was only about 15 minutes after MOH though. We all started to the cafe when a guy from Caroyln Allens called. The steaming lady was here, and sitting outside my door. Oops. MOH and I ran upstairs, while my mom went to get some food.
I felt kinda bad. I got off the elevator, and saw the lady sitting in the floor next to my room. I apologized, and she said it was ok. She thought that I might have been in the shower. We all go in, and she starts setting up her stuff. She was very good at what she did, but not much of a talker. I showed her my tiara, because I bought it at Carolyn Allen's almost 2 years ago. She was kinda surprised and happy that I found it there. Well, it was only a few moments and Anna showed up to do hair and makeup. She set up her stuff, and sat me in the seat. My mom returned with two large sandwiches for us. She kept telling us to dig in. After the third time she said something, I finally said that I would love something to eat but I can't get out of the chair to get it. MOH jumped off the bed and brought me some food. After my hair was down, MOH was up. Finally my mom got her hair done. Anna then worked in reverse on the makeup. The lady from Carolyn Allen's was done, and left. My mom was getting her makeup done still, so MOH and I started to get dressed. MOH got her makeup done, and then me. When I was getting my makeup put on, Randy showed up. He started taking pictures in the room. He didn't stay long, and headed down to meet Ty. Anna had finished up and headed out. I got into my dress. We started playing around taking pictures. First MOH left to give Ty a card for me. While she was gone the bellservice showed up with Ty's bag. I almost forgot that he was sending up the bag, and started to send it away. Ty has an unusual tag, and when I saw it I remembered what the plan was. MOH came back and my mom had left to take some stuff to MOH's husband for her. It became just MOH and I waiting for the call saying the coast was clear. The 10 minutes it took were forever. I was getting that excited nervous energy, and just wanted to do something. Finally, we got the call.
When I got out of the elevator on the ground floor, I instantly went into a dreamlike state. If felt as if I was inside a shell and people weren't really looking at me. It was weird. I also had the thought going through my mind that it was my turn. I had seen so many brides getting prewedding pictures, and now that person was me. The entire day was one surreal moment.
We saw Randy at the end of the one hallway near Roaring Forks and got right to work. We took a few pictures near the window on the long ramp hallway. We then headed into the main lobby. That is where everyone was waiting. I saw the wedding assistant, which I think she was just there to hold stuff. I don't remember her talking at all. I also saw my dad and mom waiting with cameras out. Randy started to pose me here and there, and my parents followed him around like a shadow. The first place Randy put me I announced that I was looking at the person I was paying. Randy didn't seem to mind that they were doing this. I imagine it happens a lot. We then headed outside. It was so fun walking around. At one spot, I noticed a lady with her two daughters sitting on their balcony watching us. I also noticed a wedding rehearsal going on at the Sunrise Terrace. I thought that was the neatest thing. I got a lot of congrats as I walked through the Lodge. We made it back inside. Randy asked if there was anymore pics I wanted, and I told him at the fireplace. He took a quick picture, and it was time to go.
We headed outside. I remember hearing something about holding me back to make sure Ty was hidden. I just stood at the entrance thinking I had to wait. Randy pointed out my limo. My mom, dad, MOH, and I got in. We headed over to the Wedding Pavilion. I still couldn't believe that it was actually happening. It seemed like it shouldn't be here this quick. During the drive over my dad told me a funny story about Ty. When they were pinning the boutonnières on the guys, they asked Ty who was who. Well, when my dad showed up they asked who he was. Ty's response was “he's the bride of the groom”. Yeah, he wasn't nervous at all was he. Soon we pulled into the parking lot at the Wedding Pavilion. Here we go.

Going to the chapel.

As we pulled up to the pavilion, I noticed Randy, Marion, her assistant, and two of my friends showing up. We all got out of the limo and Randy started snapping pics. We took a few pics as we walked to the vestibule. To be honest I don't remember much of what happened walking into the vestibule or the order of what happened inside of it. My mom, dad, MOH, and I waited inside. My dad was going back and forth between my room and Ty's. I know that all us girls were checking our hair and makeup in the mirror. I tried to get a little more lipgloss on, but I couldn't get the plastic thingy off the sample stick Anna gave me. Randy also came in and took a few pictures. He would take random shots, but then also placed me here and there. Kirk Baine, our officiant, came in to say hi. He asked if I was nervous. To be honest I was a little, but that excited nervous. As we waited to start the show, I also checked to see if the phone actually worked. It does. The last prewedding thing was the ring pillow. Marion came into the room to grab it. I tied my ring onto the pillow. She first started saying that they don't give the rings to the ring bearer, but then saw that it was securely fasten to the pillow. She said that would work and left the room.
Marion started to call us in. First it was my mother, then MOH, and now it was just dad and I. My dad took in a huge breath and started telling me how proud he was and how he didn't deserve someone as special as me. When he finished he let out a huge sigh, followed by “I didn't think I was gonna be able to get that out.”. It was really sweet. I would have probably started crying if my brain would have excepted what was actually happening. Before I knew it Marion came in for us. We walked up to the door and waited. I could here the music playing in the chapel. Marion had the door cracked and was watching the ringbearer walk up. All I heard was “oh no” followed by a chuckle. Then she turns to us and said that the ringbearer is starting to lose his pants. What had happened was his pants were slightly big to begin with. They pulled the draw string on them as tight as they could, and it worked fine. Well, just moments before the wedding he had to go to the bathroom. I guess after he went, they didn't tighten the string again. He did well though. He didn't drop that pillow one inch, even though his pants were dropping quick. When he was able to hand off the pillow to the best man, he grabbed his pants and did a big pull on them then strutted off as if he meant to do all of it. Everyone had a good laugh out of it.
Next thing I knew, Marion said it was time. The music played and the doors opened. The first thing I heard was a huge sniffle from my dad. It sounded as if he had a horrible sinus infection, it was that loud. I started to walk in, and looked around to see everyone there. Then the thought came across “You Dummy look at your groom!”. I focused on him and didn't look away. We made to the end of the aisle and stopped. Ty made his way down to me. He gave my dad the biggest hug ever. Then I gave my dad a kiss on the check, and he handed me over.
The ceremony was kinda funny for me. I had read over what Kirk was going to say so many times that I didn't even pay much attention to what he was saying. What little I did pay attention I was thinking, “oh good you said that, yay you didn't say that”. I wanted to see the castle. I peeked over Kirks shoulder to view the castle. About that time, Ty and I faced each other. Ty was crying. He had two tears in his eyes. My favorite was out of the corner of his left eye. It ran all the way down his cheek. I almost started to cry seeing this, but I found my self in pain. Ty was grabbing my hand so hard. My engagement ring was digging into my pinky, it actually left marks. I didn't want to interrupt the ceremony by talking, so I tried to open my fingers hoping he would get the hint. Well, he squeezed even harder. From that point I don't remember much. I just remember not really paying attention to what Kirk was saying. We said our vows, and exchanged rings. We got to the part where we say “I do” and Ty said “Yes Sir, I mean I Do.”. We lit the unity candle. We had a little communication errors with this. I was told to walk one way, and he the other. We finally made our way around the alter slightly embarrassed and to chuckles from our guest. Kirk pronounced us man and wife, we kissed, and walked out. I choose Zip A Dee Do Da as our exit song. Ty decided to act stupid, and started skipping. I joined right along with him, and we skipped down the aisle.

Congratulations! You look gorgeous!

The story about the ring bearer's pants made me laugh! Good for him for making it all the way down the aisle and not letting it interfer with his very important job!

Can't wait to read more!

We we got out, Marion and her assistant was there to greet us with our drinks. We started to head out to the park. The Candlelight Processional singers were lined up for their first show. They were in two rows. We first tried to walk between the closest line and the wall. The lady on the end of the line told us to walk down the middle. Well, Ty the attention lover grabbed me and down we went. It was really cool. They were cheering, applauding, and congratulating us all the way down. We waved bye to them, and walked into the park. As we walked into the park, we were congratulated many more times, and we even got a Mazel Tov. Ty started toasting his glass with anybody that had a glass and congratulated us. We made our way upstairs to the parlor. The room was beautiful. Everything was how I planned it, and more. I was relieved to see they put the sugar crystals on the cake. That was my one fear of the whole wedding. The Christmas decorations added a nice touch to the room. I noticed on the appetizers and drinks table they put out LED ice cubes. They were cool ones that had something like 4 colors to it. I told them they would be gone in a matter of seconds once my nephews saw them. They said that is why they put them out. Another touch that I loved was they put out menu cards. I really wanted them, but found they were too expensive. Not to mention it is a waste of money. After looking at the room, we hid off in a side conferrance room. We waited there about ten minutes before we were introduced. They brought us a plate with a mix of our appetizers on it. Our dj came in and introduced himself. We went over a little of what we wanted. We were really simple in that we just wanted background music. Marion also came in slightly panicked wondering if they had forgotten a cash bar. My dad was asking where he could buy the beer. I told her that I told him he would be able to buy a beer at the Rose & Crown Pub during the dessert party. She was relieved that she didn't screw something up, and went out to tell my dad.
When we were announced, my middle nephew did the honors. The dj fed him his lines, and he did a real good job. Ty and I went right into our first dance, I Could Not Ask For More by Edwin McCain. We both sang it to each other, and Ty kept reenacting Edwin when he sings. To me it was funny, but to anyone else watching (which I know none of them had seen McCain in concert) he looked crazy. We made our way to our table, and I noticed they had put Just Married pins on it. The waiter came by and filled up our flutes with Asti, and we had our toast. Ty started to choke up giving the toast, so my dad try to save him by cutting him off.
We started eating our dinner. First was the soup. I had a little, but was saving room for the salad. Ty practically picked up the bowl to drink it, and then asked if he could have some sent to our room. He was joking of course. They laughed and said no, and also that it isn't sold anywhere at Disney. Next was the salad. I loved that salad. So So yummy. I started to walk around to all the tables seeing how everyone was doing. I was having fun mingling with everyone. Ty, at one point, came up to me saying, “I think they want to serve the meal now.”. I'm not sure if they were waiting for us to sit down or not. Either way, it gave everyone time to digest all the food. When we sat down everyone started clanking their glasses. Once the kids found out what this game was, they didn't want to stop clinking their glasses. We got our food, and it was a huge plate. I took a few bites, but then stopped eating. I wanted to save room for cake. After awhile, the kids kept hovering around our table and everyone was chatting it up. Marion had come over saying we were running a little late. She told us to cut the cake, and then we would do the dances while they were serving it.
We headed over to cut the cake. Neither Ty nor I smashed it into each others faces. I told him I would kill him. I think some of our guests were disappointed at our civil manners. We immediately went into doing our dances. The dj announced my dad and I would be dancing first. I started to get up to dance, and had to tap my dad reminding him that he was dancing too. We danced to You Got A Friend In Me. He started dancing really crazy. I think partly because he didn't want to cry.
Ty and his mom were up. Ty kept the song a secret from his mom. He chose Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys by Willie Nelson and Wayland Jennings. Ty was pretty relieved that he didn't have to pick a “mushy” song. Once his mom figured it out, she loved it. Now neither of them can dance, so they both looked really funny up there.
The dances were done, and the cake was on the table. I was surprised to see they kept the fondant on the cake. We had told Marion earlier that we knew they removed it, but we had a guest that really liked it. She said she would try and put some one his plate, but they put it on everyones. I was glad, because the sugar crystals gave the cake a bit of crunch to it. Yum. I was slightly disappointed in the servers. They automatically gave everyone the chocolate and peanut butter cup cake. I had chose a non chocolate layer, because there were guests that were crazy about chocolate. They didn't ask what kind the would like. Oh well, they did put the cake in Ziplock containers, which we provided, and they gave us all the leftover cake.
We stood around for a little mingling, but then had to start heading out to make it to the dessert party. We went back to the shuttles to take us to UK lower terrace.
