Do you hold any of them in high esteem? I for one find a gentle massage to be very relaxing and conducive to a decent sleep. Never tried acupuncture. Natural oils and soft music is nice. Obviously, as a hypnotherapist in the making, I'm going to promote that ;)

I think they have a place alongside conventional medicine. For example, I would never pursue holistic measures for something that required surgery or something like cancer, but the use of massage or hypnosis to reduce stress and promote healing, or perhaps to assist in mitigation of the side effects of the treatments themselves is a good idea.

Acupuncture has provided a lot of relief to both my husband and I. I was skeptical at first, but he urged me to try it and it's made a huge difference.
I like a massage once in a while, but for me that's more about relaxing.
I have done reiki once w/ noticeable results, another time w/o any.
Breathing and qi gong has helped me a lot as well.

I utilize the above in conjunction with western medicine as a way to alleviate a few conditions and in doing so it has helped me find non-medicated ways to deal with a few things.
