Has anybody booked a holiday with a tour operator i.e Virgin Holiday, Airtours etc that allows you to include dining plans and tickets?

Your help would be greatly appreciated :wave2:

Thank you in advance

 Perhaps you would get a better response if you posted the question the the UK Trip Planning board.

We booked the dining plan with first choice holidays for our holiday last July.

Kathryn

We booked ours with British Airways....

.....less than 3 months to wait now! :goofy:

Kathryn

I have just booked this with First choice also (for myself, wife and 5 yr old). Having had the benefit and experience of using this plan, could you post your experience of using it please.

Did you find it value for money, did you feel it was in any way restrictive?

Would you book it again?

Thanks,

David

Hi David and welcome to the Dis :)

I have never used the dining plan myself (it is still relatively new) but the only consistent complaint I have heard about it is that it is very easy to over eat ;)

I would strongly recommend making some advance dining reservations before you go to ensure you get your pick of table service dining options, though.#

When is your trip?

Hi Miffy, thanks for your welcome.

Thanks for the tip on prebooking dining reservations, don't really know where we can/would book, or even how to go about it! Perhaps you could enlighten me on this one?

We go on May 5th for 2 weeks, counting down the weeks, :hourglass 13 this friday!!

Get onto allearsnet.com; read the reviews on the restaurants; check the menus; call up the booking number now!

We're going in 12 weeks and did our booking at the end of November. For the times we wanted, over the 2 weeks, 3 places we had the last table, 1 place we had to have a different time. The best restaurants are already booking up!!!

Spirit of Aloha
Le Cellier Steakhouse

thanks for this info. are there web sites for these restauraunts? I would like to see if the menu is suitable for our needs. Also do all the above accept the dining plan tickets, and am I correct in beleiving that 2 tickets are used per meal at these places (2 tickets for kids also?)?

Are there any maps anywhere I can download showing the locations of these restauranuts?

I am anticipating putting on weight, so I am dieting Now in preparation!!

We are also going to the Port Orleans, departing May 5th.

Thanks again for your feedback

Yes they're all on the Dining Plan. You can pick up sample menus from www.allearsnet.com

Boma 1 ticket Animal Kingdom
CRT x2 tickets Magic Kingdom
H and V 1 ticket Disney MGM Studios
Spirit of Aloha x2 tickets Polynesian Resort
Le Cellier Steakhouse 1 ticket Epcot
Spoodles 1 ticket BoardWalk Inn & Villas
Maya Grill 1 ticket Coronado Springs Resort
Liberty Tree 1 ticket Magic Kingdom
Whispering Canyon 1 ticket Wilderness Lodge
O Hana 1 ticket Polynesian Resort
Le Cellier Steakhouse 1 ticket Epcot
Grand Floridian Café 1 ticket Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Plus there's all those counter service meals to eat as well. I think they'll charge me for extra weight on the return flight. :rotfl2:

Port Orleans? Not French Quarter by any chance?

(sorry about the formating...it looks OK when I type it in.

With the Hollywood and Vine you can also book up the Fantasmic package. :thumbsup2

This link will also take you to the page of participating Dining Plan restaurants:

No need to go to All Ears for menus guys - there is an excellent dining database with menus right here on the Dis:

Menu Database

David - when you have decided where you would like to eat, the number to dial is:

407 WDW DINE or

407 939 3463 (dial the US code first)

Excellent database, but beware, not all the restaurants are on the Dining Plan. If you go to the link below that will tell you which are on the Dining Plan (it's not up to date though as CRT is 2 Table Service):
