This will be our first trip at the Holidays. We will be there Nov. 12-20. Planning on doing the Christmas party. Been to many MNSSHP's so I think I can navigate the MVMCP pretty well. Most of my questions will be about Osborn lights. What time do they light them? And is it possible to do Fantasmic and see the the Lights turn on? Any special tips? Thanks I am so excited.

The lights are lit at 6pm most of the time. There are some nights where they aren't lit at all, usually those are the nights where the park closes at 7pm (for I think a staff appreciation party). You definitely won't be able to catch the 6:30 pm Fantasmic if you want to see the lighting ceremony.

For the 8pm Fantasmic and Osborne Lights lighting ceremony:

1. For the best Fantasmic seats, arrive at the Streets of America by 5:45pm. Enjoy Lights until 6:45pm at the latest and head over to the theater on Sunset Bouelvard.
2. For off-center seats at Fantasmic and lower crowds at the Lights, arrive at the Streets of America by 6:40pm. Enjoy Lights until 7:15pm and head over to the theater.

The actual first lighting time will vary, so be sure to check the times guide for the day you are there. The sun will be down around 5:30, so they could light them earlier than 6:00.

However, as PP said, if Fantasmic is at 6:30, it will be difficult to see the lighting and make it to the theater. The Streets will be packed with people. Will your family be content with just seeing them turn on, and then rushing to the other end of the park to see F!? They do usually leave them on after F!, so you can see them after F!, but you'll miss the actual lighting.

If we had to choose it would be seeing the lighting. We've seen Fantasmic many times. Just want to manage expectations for the fam.
