Holiday Villas of Somerset

Hi - we are staying here with my daughter's team. Does anyone have any info, especially as to where they are located? I go to the website, but the directions are to the check-in office and I am not sure that the villas are in the same location? It sounds like they have multiple locations.

We get there late at night and have to be at the fields (at Wide World of Sports) early the next morning and I would love to not get lost!!!!!

Also, if anyone has stayed there I would love to know how big the bedrooms are (specifically can we fit a blow up mattress on the floor of one if the girls refuse to share the pull-out couch).

Hi, you are in a good location to get to Wide World of Sports...

Villas at Sommerset are nice, not super fancy, but very nice condos that are about 12 years old. They have a nice walk in shower in the master bath and nice heated central pool. They are located just off highway 192 East of Disney World on Poinciana Blvd.

Bedrooms will be ok size and I am sure a mattress can be put in one of the two smaller bedrooms.

Quick and easy directions from Orlando International Airport or Sanford Airport:

I disagree with Mapquest on this one, plus you will know where to go the next morning:

Take SOUTH exit from Orlando International, toll 417 from Airport ("South exit toward Disney World") From Orlando
Sanford take the only 417 exit.
Take all the way to Osceola Parkway EXIT 3.
Take Osceola Parkway EAST back past Falcons Fire golf course about a mile or so..have 75 cents ready for toll exit....
Take the Poinciana Blvd exit, pay 75 cent toll. Go south on Poinciana a mile, cross hwy 192 and Villas will be on your left less than 1/2 mile.

To get to Wide World go back the same way...take Osceola Parkway WEST TO DISNEY WORLD (75 cents again) and it takes you right into Disney and Wide World will be first left hand turn at stop light...hope this helps...Have a great time...Ted

From looking at the map on Expedia - I had a feeling that this was where you say. Nice to have it confirmed. I know exactly where to go now - the exit off Osceola from the airport is the one near Gaylord Palms, correct?
Nice to know that they are near 192 as well, as I am pretty familiar with that area as well.

We stayed at the Villas of Somerset last July, and enjoyed our condo. It was our first experience with an off-site condo, and we were pleased. The resort is nice, clean and well kept. Quiet too. We had a 2BR, second floor unit that had an enourmous living room with a large palladian window giving lots of light. The master bedroom had a king bed, the other bedroom had bunkbeds. There would not be enough room in either for an inflatable mattress, unless it was like a small single self-inflating camper type sleeping pad. However, there was tons of room in the living room for that.

The pool/clubhouse was nice, but small. We didn't use either very much becaus we weren't there long.

The location was convenient to grocery store, restaurants, drug store, and highway to WDW. No more than maybe 15-20 minutes to the parks.

Highly recommend Villas of Somerset. We also stayed at Windsor Hills, and I can't say I liked it any better (except it was much closer to AK.) Both resorts are very nice. WH had a more "high rise" feel than VoS. VoS had a more townhouse/garden house feel to me. VoS is smaller, older, and more intimate, I thought.

We are in a 3BR. I am glad to hear positive things about this place, and that it is in an area that I am familiar with.

I packed most of our stuff last night and now I am getting really excited!!!
