Alright I'd like to take my family to DL to see all of the holiday decorations. When would be the best times to do this and not hit a lot of crowds? Anyone with specific dates would be greatly appreciated. TIA

If you can do a weekday trip during the first 2 weeks of December, you'll avoid the crowds. The earlier in December, the better, IMO. That's when I'll be going, though unfortunately, I have to go on a weekend because of work.

A lot of people say the first 2 weeks of December. I say any time that's not the week between Christmas and NY. While some people might like the (almost) no crowds the first 2 weeks, what I don't like about it is the short hours and limited entertainment options.

The third week (at the beginning), the week before Christmas, is ideal, though slightly more crowded. Normal peak hours, 8-12 or 10-10, most rides open (some rides are down in the first couple weeks of December), entertainment going in full swing (2 Fantasmics, fireworks, 2 parades, electric parade every day), and still not very large crowds until the end of the week. We went during this time last year and squeezed in 60+ rides in 2 days + fireworks and Fantasmic and breaks. See my TR for details.

For us short hours is okay - our child will be 3 and is still napping, so an evening break is great before bedtime. We're going Dec. 10-16. Typically I avoid weekends because my husband and I can't stand the crowds but we wanted to see a little of the weekend entertainment this time. Our usual routine is Sun-Thurs to avoid the extra crowds.
