Today we actually ventured out fairly early. I'm usually up around 6 so I just enjoy the morning run or gym and DW enjoys the extra rest. Today we went to AK for some sights, BBQ, and pics. We started the day by getting a FP to EE, which ended up being a FP for 6 hours later. We then ventured up to the walking trails MJT and PF, DW loves the Tigers, she wants to take one home because they are so "cute". I try to explain to her that they are looking at her and seeing lunch. After taking in the trails and watching Devine come to life we headed over to check out Dinosaur, it had been stopped earlier in the day, but had just started back up, so we got on with only a 15 minute wait. I think that the ride is a lot of fun, the dark and jolts make it a fright ride for my DW, we usually only go on it once every other trip, she loves coasters, but that ride gets her. I think every picture that we have from it whenthe Dino pops out, she has her eyes closed and her head tucked into my chest. As we walked out the trampoline act G-Force was just staring to perform, they were great all kinds of high flying and flips, I thought they were going to fly off a couple times but they had it under contol. We hadn't seen them before and it was a nice addition to the trip, one that didn't require standing in a line. We next went for our chiropractic adjustments on PW, it's fun but afterwards your body needs a little break. We next went to have lunch at our favorite AK eatery, Flame Tree BBQ. It has become a right of passage on each trip, I order the 1/2 chicken and DW oreders the rack of ribs, we then sit and watch people enjoying EE from across the water as we stuff ourselves with the delicious BBQ foods. We still had about an hour until our EE FP so we strolled around the Tree on all the little side trails, and found shelter under one of the large "roots" that shoots off the tree just as a passing shower rolled through. You have to love WDW weather, when it rains normally if you wait 15-20 min's it's over, up in New England if it rains it's usually over in 2-3 days. Once the sky cleared we made our move over to EE, DW and I both moticed how efficient the FP attendants were at that ride, they had a system of lining up everyone with FP's and then just having people take a step to their left and forward when their time came up, it worked great. The ride on EE was of course worth the wait, it is still our 2nd favorite coaster though, RnR is hard to beat. After EE we decided to head to the room and add some layers (for DW) as the temp was dropping a little bit, and then we were heading to MK for fireworks. When we arrived at MK the 1st SM parade was taking place, so we got the backstage look at Main St. as we were ushered to the left and behind Main St., we came out near the Tomorrowland Terrace. It was another new experience for us, we noted the many signs and CM's reminding guests that no photos were allowed. We decided to take a ride on TTA since we would get an aerial view of the parade for little spurts, it was very unique as we could see multiple parts ofthe parade at the same time. We then took in another must for DW, IaSW, I do enjoy the details of the scenes in the ride too, she just wants to take all of the dolls home with her. The craving for pizza then hit us, so we went into Pinochio's and got two pizzas then sat on the Balcony overlooking Fantasyland and relaxed for a while and tried to soak up the atmosphere as this was our last night in WDW for this trip. We tried a side view of the Castle from Liberty Square for the Fireworks, we normally go with a Main St view, but we wanted to try some new things this trip. It was a good view, but DW said Main St. was still her top spot. For the late SM parade we sat in chairs in the small seating area across from the River Boat and HM, it wasn't very crowded in that spot, and it was almost like our own little viewing of the parade. We then felt the toll of hitting AK early and MK late with no real break, and decided to head "home" for the night, so that we could enjoy our last day before we flew out that night. Up next, jumping around on our last day of this trip.
