Holiday time at Disneyland resort guided tour -- good for 6 yr old?

Definitely call back and talk to them again. I think they owe you a refund if they changed it and didn't make that clear. And I think others in the same situation have gotten refunds.

When I called, I was denied a refund/transfer to another tour ... supervisor listened to audio of previous call to tell me that the CM didn't promise any rides in their sales spiel and were told this was non-refundable/non-transferrable so I'm stuck with it. I told them I had read past reviews of tour and it included rides so we were expecting it and supervisor mentioned that because we didn't take tour before, they didn't feel they didn't to explain any differences. With tours hit-or-miss often depending on the guide, without rides I feel i'll be disappointed I spent $85 on a parade and mug of hot chocolate :/

Wow. I am glad I didn't pay for it, with confirmation from others that went on tour saying no rides.

I was hoping to take advantage of the tour during part of the busiest time of day, but my son and I will have to figure something else to do.

My son is patient, and probably wouldn't complain at all, but I don't think it's fair to him without the rides breaking up the spiels.


i am surprised they are being so strict on this, unless it's only a couple days away.

I could contest with credit card company but it's not really fraud so don't want to take advantage. I am guessing they've probably had issue with cancellations but this isn't last minute and still over two weeks ago and was willing to book a different tour even. I will go and do my best to enjoy it, i'll be at DL with my wife so guaranteed to be a good few days.

I didn't really learn very much. It was hot - our poor guide kept fumbling over her words or forgetting them completely - and it was just boring...I'm sorry - but it was boring. It wasn't so much about wanting to ride the rides (we could do those on our own) but it just would've broken it up a little, allowed people to get off their feet and just get a dose of disney fun. If the rides were included, I think it would have been worth it. But without, it was just walking through the parks, listening mostly to statically music in your ear piece. But the parade was fun and beautiful!

Send a report of your complaint/phone experience to Disney. Use the "contact us" link at the bottom of their webpage. Be as detailed and unemotional as possible. Management needs to know about issues like this. Guest Experience CMs really take these things seriously. Don't be surprised if someone calls you about your experience.
