sorry :( Names have gone out.
We have a regional cookbook exchange in the spring. Hope you find that one.

I think the only ones taking sign-ups now are Halloween candy and Christmas presents. Hope to see you join in ::yes::

My 2 packages have gone out :bounce:

My recipes are all typed and some of my "extras" are arriving at my house today, so I can get it all boxed up and shipped out this week. Oh wait...it may not ship til the weekend because there was one more extra that I wanted to make and I don't think I can finish that until the weekend. I'll have to double check.

I can't wait to ship and to hear when it is received.

And while we're waiting for goodies to arrive (and for those who just missed out), here's an easy holiday recipe (which I forgot to include in my recipe packet.)

Cranberry Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup orange juice
1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice. Stir in the cranberries, and cook until they start to pop (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat, and transfer to a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.

Here's one that sounds yummy. I haven't tried it yet.

I like anything with bananas, cookies cookies and more cookies, I am not much of a chocolate cake eater my favorite is white cake with white icing. Got a good peppermint ice cream recipe? I also like anything with pumpkin.

Food, I will try anything once. ::yes::
I like American fare the most ( chicken, turkey, burgers, pizza, etc.) but I also like a lot of Mexican and Italian. I also like something that I know a lot of people don't like and I even did a poll on the DIS and had a lot of people go eewwwww - Liver and onions. :)

Ugghhhhh. I went shopping yesterday for Holiday (XMAS) items for my exchange....
and found nothing out except lights.
Anyone know of stores that have Xmas items (for baking) out yet??
TIA!!!!!!!!!

Heidi...if you like bananas and chocolate, I've got a good recipe for you. It's from one of my pampered chef cookbooks. It's yummy and easy to make. Basic premise is that it's bananas and chocolate rolled up in phyllo dough and baked slightly. It's so good. I don't have the recipe on me, but I'll post that one sometime this week.

I haven't really looked yet for the baking stuff.
But, remember, "holidays" can also be Thanksgiving and Halloween, as well as Christmas :)

Going to look for some recipes for Heidi. Might help to keep this thread bumped until some sending and arriving starts happening ;)
