Holiday planning DVD

Does anyone have any idea how long this takes to arrive in NZ? It seems like it was about six weeks ago that I ordered this, but nothing arrived yet.

I'd order another, mine only took 3-4 weeks.

I think sometimes that just don't come. I have heard different stories about them sending internationally, it's a bit hit and miss I think. I got mine within a few weeks but that was about 4 years ago. I have heard from several other Aussies that say they have never received it.

Maybe they're in the process of updating it? The requests get sent to the local office in Aus and then sent out. It takes them forever to change it to region 4 as they have to watch it and identify which parts need to be removed. That's why we always get one that's at least a year old.

Disney Destinations Australia sends them out so there is a delay sometimes in Disney US letting them know about it. Who knows why the request doesn't just go straight to the Australian office?

For what it's worth, it's not very good anyway.

Might I suggest getting a copy of "Disney Parks: The Secrets, Stories and Magic Behind the scenes" from amazon. It is under $20 and is a 4 DVD set. We have had it for about 4 years and still watch them all the time. It is amazing!!!!!

I would highly recommend a viewing before you go

I applied for one months ago. I assumed it just wasn't coming. Your experience suggests that it might still arrive! Not that it's going to help as we are leaving in a little under three weeks.

For those who have got it, how is it packaged? Does it say anything about Disney on the outer packaging? Just wondering if I should get it sent to a friend's house - it's for a surprise trip.

Mine took a couple of months, I had actually forgotten I'd even ordered in when it finally arrived. I didn't think it was that helpful (nowhere near as helpful as The Dis!) But I like to re-watch it every now and again for the memories!

From the version I saw on YouTube I agree that the DIS is far more informative. But I think the kids will love watching it once we let them in on the secret plans.

me too i ended up being sent an old one from Ainsley at mypersonaltravelplanner.com.au after I had booked some flights through her.

btw, i'm still waiting for the one i ordered through disney.
