With only a few weeks now until we go to Orlando (July 14th), i need to get some US Dollars.

I shall be using my Nationwide CC for all purchases, but will need some cash for small purchase items (ice creams, tips...etc...etc)

Where is the best exchange rates at this moment in time ?

I bank at LloydsTSB and via their online service they are quoting the following prices (commission free);

1.738800 - money
1.749100 - TC's

Is anywhere else better ?

Thank you :cool1:

cool user name !!
ive never used them myself but a lot of people on here use travelex or online fx
marks and spencers is anothe one bot i think you need and m&s card
hth

i bought some tc at 1.75 from thomsons yesterday, i dont go to december but I buy some every month

I normally use M & S in Leics city centre :)

You need to have the M & S card if ordering online but if you go into the store you can use their card, cash or any other debit card. Just make sure you take along some ID if using anything other than cash.

I always use OnlineFX - if you order before a certain time you get the money or TCs next day special delivery :)

FWIW I always use Lloyds TSB. Was nearer 1.85 when we went though (~5 weeks ago).

I have given up with TC now. Last 2 visits I have compared rates before we set off to our Lloyds TSB CC. Last Oct saved about £40 by using the Card instead of TC's (3 weeks with about a £1,500 spend). I now take enough cash to pay for tolls and tips on the cruise rest goes on card, even for a $2 icecream.
