Any one stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort, part of the DTD hotels???? I've stayed at the Hotel Royal Plaza and LOVED IT!! But I now have a 2 year old and wanted a hotel that he could have fun in as well. Is it family friendly? Any other suggestions for kid-friendly hotels?

We stayed @ Holiday Inn (formerly Courtyard by Marriott) for 1 night during a $20.03 special Sept 2003. It was a great hotel, clean spacious rooms. They had a Manager's reception at 5:00PM. All you could drink complimentary beer and soda. Also, nachos and popcorn. The pool look clean (didn't swim) and the arcade was small but my DD8 and DS 3 enjoyed it. We ordered Pizza in the lobby for that night...it was okay. I would stay there again for the same price. I don't know about the bus service b/c we had our own car. Maybe someone else could help?

Wow! $20 a night? That's crazy! I can get it on Expedia for $89. I think I am gonna stay here. Does the hotel have a kiddie pool, or a baby sitting service???

Hi bugbugmom

I too was at the Marriot/Holiday in last September for the 20.03 special......just could not beat the price.

I hope that the special comes back for this year.

I saw on Travelzoo.com that this hotel is having a $59.00 per night special rate.

I was so excited about that $59 a night rate, until I saw that you had to book before 04/15. I won't have the $$ until May. I could have saved about $150!!! Oh well. Thanks for the offer!

I don't know the details, but usually you only have to give one nights rate (as a deposit) up front. Maybe you could borrow that amount from a friend and then pay them back in May.

but if i get the reservation for 1 night, and then pay the rest of them in may, then i will only get that 1 night the cheap rate. but i guess it's better than nothing!

What I mean is that you make your reservation for as many nights as you are going to stay. Usually the hotel only wants a deposit equal to one nights stay. You pay the whole bill when you check out.

Ok, so how do I find out? Can I just do it online?

If I were you I'd call the hotel direct and ask them about the deposit. The number is 1-800-223-9930 Ask for the "$59.00 Spring Special", if you need a code it is TZOG.
