Anyone out there who stayed at HIFS who could advise if "seniors" would be happy staying there. I was impressed seeing the full kitchen/bedroom/livingroom. We are able to stay for 10 nights early December. They said there is a "quieter" side of the hotel where there is the small lap pool. Not being familiar I wonder if any experienced travelers would think it's ok for senior citizens. As I write "senior citizen" I cringe...that really can't be me....but I guess it is....one who still loves doing the Disney thing. and is by no means....slow.....in mind or walking speed. Thanks.

Hey, I officially turned senior this year by the Holiday Inn standards (50). I have not stayed at the HIFS yet.

I would be happy to stay at the HIFS if I got a good rate. So close to the parks.

When are you going in Dec. Early Dec. is a quieter time in Orlando everywhere..

We loved HIFS in Dec. '01 and are going back there in Oct. However, we are a family with two small kids. I think it all comes down to whether you would mind lots of children around. Yes, there is a quiet side, but there is only one main restaurant, food court, and lobby. You will most certainly see (and hear) many children there. I never gave a thought to it not being enjoyable for everyone, until someone else replied to a post that they (a couple without kids) had gone there for dinner and found it to be way too loud, distracting and messy (I personally NEVER saw it messy). I hope some other seniors can give you a more positive review. I say if you like the suites and you get a good rate, go for it! Unless you mind children ;)
