We are looking to stay near Disneyland with a fairly short walk with modern rooms. We were getting ready to book the Home 2 Suites by Hilton on a recommendation for a DIS'er but I stumbled onto the possibility of the Holiday Inn Express right next door. Does anyone have any advice or opinions about this hotel?

We just finished staying at HIE. It was our second time staying there. The rooms are large and clean. It is about a 10 min easy walk to the park. My only complaint is it is loud as the freeway is across the street.

Hi Laura's Dad,
I looked up the Holiday Inn Express And Suites on Yelp and they say it's a good hotel and very good walking distance to Disneyland. The only drawback according to what I read on Yelp is that the breakfast bags aren't worth it because you only get Hot Pockets. But it is next door to the Quality Inn and you should give them a call and see if they have any deals running at the moment too
Hope this advice helps you and have a great trip

That Quality Inn has closed. It is now Home 2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim.

We have stayed at the HIE in the past and agree with Lizdnv. Room was spacious and clean, walk is easy and would definitely stay there again. We didn't notice the freeway noise as much as we do at the HoJo but it is there.

Thanks so much everyone. We're booked at this Holiday Inn Express and wanted to confirm it's walking distance to DL. Great news! I feel much better now reading the experiences of those above.

We booked the HIE for December thru Costco Travel. I saw this thread before I hit the buy it button.
