Holiday Inn DTD?

What happened to this joint? I walked by tonight and there were boards all over the windows and the inside looked gutted out. Granted, its been a year since Ive been to Disney, but this seems very odd that a location like that would be shut down.

It has not been open since 2004 when it was damaged in the hurricanes. For a while they were working on fixing it up and doing renovations at the same time. Then work stopped and it has been sitting there stagnant for at least 2 years.

Holiday Inn was building that Nickelodeon Family Suites around the same time I believe. I wonder if they decided to funnel the cash from the Holiday Inn on Disney property to that project and, so far, do not have the ability to go back and complete it.
