Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn at Walt Disney World?
We are considering booking here and would love to hear anything good or bad about it...

Whoa!!!!

Which one???..There at least half a dozen around the Disney World 40 square mile....none "in" Disney World....

Stay away from the Nikki Bird...it has some pretty mixed reviews...

Let us know which one you are looking at and maybe we can help a little more her on the boards.

REALLY CUTE BABE IN THE PICTURE, BY THE WAY!

I believe this used to be the Courtyard by Marriott. Changed over the end of last year.

I stayed at this property when it was a Courtyard by Marriott. If you get a room in the tower you will be happy with it. The rooms in the wings are a little less to be desired. Its just in need of a renovation. The onsite restaurant is priced right and was pretty good. The bus service to Disney however was awful. It was never on schedule, dropped you off in the middle of parking lots, and always full.

From the prices I have seen advertised lately for this HI, you can stay on disney property in a much nicer moderate hotel for about the same price by using Disney discount codes..

WE stayed there last June(2003) and this past April I had a rate of 49.00 nt so for the price it was fine, my dd liked it and asked if we could stay there again in Oct this year but we are at a mod. it is a little noisy if yu get apool view you can hear all the traffic from the rd in front but it is ok, really like the area of DTD there are more choices of reaturants and things to do if you have a car we did our last trip but not on the 1st trip there, the bus that picks you up at the hotel was fine it is the 2nd stop in DTD hotels we had no problems with it coming back from the parks and we had 4 kids. If you don't like to with others on a bus after being at the parks all day get a car if you can afford it. I just got Alamo at 150.00 for 5 days with a coupon from ent., book. there are pros and cons of Alamo out there but they let you use Debit cards to pay with Proof of RT Air tickects. I like to pay cash for everything save on the interest from those nasty cc. any more ?'s just pm me.

We just stayed there on 8/12 (right before the hurricane and our 8/14 Magic cruise)

It was fine for one night. I probably would not want to spend a week there. It does not have the atmosphere of the Disney owned and run resorts.

Have a great trip wherever you stay!

Hi. We stayed here in February 2004 after booking the Courtyard by Marriott through Priceline.

It was nice, basic and clean. Not much of a view but well w/in walking distance of DTD's East Side. Rooms were larger than the All-Star/Pop Century styles. We had a group of teenagers in the rooms downt the hall and never had a problem hearing slamming doors. Best of all, we could have our packages delivered to the hotel and the DTD hotels have their own transportation similar (but slower) than the park hotels.

Downside -- parking lot is not well lit and one side of the building faces the interstate.

It was dirt cheap through Priceling (like, $40/night). Great if you're planning to wake up, take a shower and head out for the day. REALLY a good value for families, I think.

We stayed here and the service was wonderful. However, the resort is undergoing major rennovations, and it is not as "pretty" as one would like. The room was comfortable, and clean but it's not my first choice for vacation. Also, the location could not be beat as it is walking distance to DTD.
